'12 TN ATH Will Redmond (MSU verbal commit)

Redmond's lead recruiter, Angelo Mirando, resigned today for "personal reasons." Interesting that the NCAA just interviewed De'Vinner this past week. Not sure if the two are related, but I wouldn't be surprised in the least.

It does make sense...and the timelines are somewhat strange.

We're hearing that it had to do with Mirando's relationships with co-eds @ MSU on our end.

Guy is 27 and single living in a town where 98% of all attractive available females are MSU students, so I could easily see how he would mess up there...

Angelo Mirando is credited with landing one commitment during his tenure at Mississippi State. That recruit is Will Redmond. Mirando was also the lead recruiter for a few Memphis kids this year as well as Jalen Ramsey.

STARKVILLE - The NCAA is conducting an investigation into a "potential recruiting irregularity" involving the Mississippi State University football program.

Sources close to the situation have confirmed to The Dispatch MSU Sports Blog the investigation, at least in part, involves an automobile purchased for MSU freshman defensive back Will Redmond. The Ford Mustang was purchased before Redmond signed with MSU this February from a used car dealership in his hometown of Memphis, Tenn.

According to a report from ESPN.com national college football reporter Joe Schad, former Mississippi State receivers coach Angelo Mirando is under investigation for the recruitment of at least one player. However, MSU officials are currently declining comment on Schad's report.

"I would try to get a little more reliable source than Joe Schad," Mullen said. "I'm supposed to be coaching at State College, I guess, right now, too, according to Joe Schad last year. Wasn't that the the case?"

Mully getting a bit defensive. This might end bad for them

Pretty good response, though.
