I would imagine that Kimbrow got what he wanted and that was to smear Tennessee. Were the guys talking the trash even Vol fans? Who knows. It could have very well been Vandy, UNC fans or MSU fans. If it was UT fans..there is no reasoning behind it and I hope they are called out for it. I will say it should not shock anyone that BK would love to keep WR away from Tennessee. There would be no greater pain than seeing his friend Redmond do well as a VOL while Kimbrow helps sustain the fight to win 2 games a year at Vandy. He may not be so special then...even with his 4.25.

Although, I dont think mouthing off to a kid is a good move on our fans part, but does anyone else think he was asking for it? Kimbrow isn't so innocent himself. If he thinks Redmond will choose MSU then thats fine, but the way he put it seemed kind of a punkish way to make a prediction. Not trying to be disrespectful towards the guy, just seems like he intended to piss off our fans.

Thats not what I meant. He didnt do anything to deserve racist remarks, but what im saying is he didnt just make a prediction and move on like he should have. If he would have just said MSU, than this never would have happened. The whole "swagger" deal was just a jab towards Tennessee imo. Our fans just handled it the wrong way

I think the twitter thing is a little over the line. I doubt Dooley would be happy to see that kinda treatment and I doubt CCB would be happy to see all his work in recruiting be possibly threatend by some fans responding on twitter.

At the same time I don't think its a big deal. If he lets his decision be swayed by this then he isn't deciding for the right reasons.

Furthermore, If he wants to go to Miss State, let him. Mullen willbe gone within 3 years and their team will soon return to mediocrity. Redmond isn't a make or break recruit, as much as I'd like to land him.

My prediction is Bulldog, Kimbrow won't let his bro go to UT. That said, hope he picks the Vols and if not, best of luck playing for the cowbells.

I do not in any way condone online attacks against any player.

With that said, I would find it rather ironic if Redmond chooses Mississippi State after their fans supposedly unleash a relentless barrage against C.J. Johnson. A little research would show Will that every fan base has its share of buffoons.

Embarrassing. The justification attempts are nearly as pathetic as the racist tweets. Sad day that we can't get over one in state recruit picking vanderbilt. I bet the same people said "we did want him anyway" when he picked vandy. Just get over it and move on with life. No need to become a degenerate circa 1901 because Kimbrow said ut doesnt fit redmonds swagger.

While I am all for any kid picking to play his college ball at Tennessee...West Tennessee kids are the least of my worries.

Who would have thought 3 months ago that we would take more kids from Knoxville than from Memphis in this class?
