'12 TN ATH Will Redmond (MSU verbal commit)

Last nights twitter episode had nothing to do with Redmonds choice. In fact, that episode never would have happened if Redmond had any thoughts of UT being a possibility for him. He'd already made his choice, highly encouraged by his handler/street agent Byron D. This guy has basicly declared war on the UT program and threatened Dooley to "play ball with him" or say goodbye to any future Memphis recruits. None of the Memphis kids this year are huge priority for this staff, but it'll be interesting to see how this guy is dealt with in the future, when there's a big time talent there.
If this is true (not shooting the messager) Its heart-breaking! I am from Memphis TN, I was a UT fan in Football since I seen Carl Pickens light up Texas A&M at the Cotton Bowl. UT is our state school and if I was an athlete it would have been very difficult to go anywhere else.

Not surprising, at all.

Coaches expected Redmond to pick MSU. Definitely wanted him. Liked Redmond for his speed/pipeline to future Memphis kids. Will now move on to other prospects for that DB position (most are actually ranked higher on scouting services).

Good luck to you Mr. Redmond, except for when you play the Vols. Remember this and you will go far, "Do the right thing always". You do that and you will go far in life. Represent the state of Tennessee well.

GO VOLS!!

Him not picking UT had a lot to do with this "handler". DD doesn't want to put up with this crap when as good or better prospects are out there. Brice Brown proved that last year.

It is unfortunate that these "handlers" prey on vulnerable kids who just want to do what is best for them. When DD cooled on Kimbrow and their "handler", it was uphill to get Redmond from there. Kimbrow started mouthing off, some stupid Vol fans weighed in and Redmond decided to go closer to home. I wish him well and hope he can help MSU beat Bama, Fla, UGA and SC.

I think the twitter thing is a little over the line. I doubt Dooley would be happy to see that kinda treatment and I doubt CCB would be happy to see all his work in recruiting be possibly threatend by some fans responding on twitter.

At the same time I don't think its a big deal. If he lets his decision be swayed by this then he isn't deciding for the right reasons.

Furthermore, If he wants to go to Miss State, let him. Mullen willbe gone within 3 years and their team will soon return to mediocrity. Redmond isn't a make or break recruit, as much as I'd like to land him.

My prediction is Bulldog, Kimbrow won't let his bro go to UT. That said, hope he picks the Vols and if not, best of luck playing for the cowbells.

I don't know...Redmond might like the idea of going to Tennessee and sticking it to his ballyhooed Vandy pal. This is college football; it's supposed to be fun.

Says on GVX 24/7 that he's going to MSU. Edit: I did not realize he picked this morning, I saw on tos still deciding and thought this just came down. Sorry for repeating old news.

I guess he chose going to MSU for sticking it to his ballyhooed pal at Vandy.

Sounds to me like some are suggesting that if a recruit says something about UT's "swagger" then it's okay to attack him with vicious racist tweets.
