'12 TN OL Brandon Hill

I think his transfer to St. George was another big reason some schools have overlooked him at this point for the very fact that they had no clue what happened to him.

I do agree with those that are of the opinion that he's probably the best OL prospect in the state this year.

He may have the most potential for sure. Heard that he is over 380 at the moment.

This kid will absolutely dominate this division of football this season. Seriously, it will probably be Michael Oher esque because of his size, only he will be playing smaller lineman than Oher...going to be nasty

If you consider Memphis to be part of Tennessee. For the amount of money the state spends to give these people healthcare, food , and shelter, you would think we could get a few players from there.

This is so true!

The odds of cmelton saying this to Brandon's face are roughly ~ .0023%.

And people wonder why Memphis kids don't come east to Knoxville

He changed schools late last year and a lot of people had no idea where he went. He is getting his name out right now through camps. TN is trying to get his attention now. Not sure if it's too late...

Its about time we offered..we need as many big bodies as possible, and this guy is BIG..I doubt they try him on defense, 6'6" seems like it would be really tall for a dt

Hill will never play DT or be considered by anyone to play DT. He is an OL all the way. I think when all is said and done he'll end up the top prospect in the state.

Agree, I've been wondering why the slow play on him, but I understand he transferred and got lost in the shuffle. Apparently he showed out at the Bama camp.

Wonder if this is an indication of our confidence with DJ?

Doubt it is. We are prob taking 2-3 OL this class. Humphries is all Vol I hope. Hill could be a guard and DJ a Tackle. Possibly anyway. Wonder where the coachs envision each playing?

Two of our best DT's in the last 15 years were both 6-6. Haynesworth and Henderson.

If we are in a 3-4 and the NT is 6'6 340+, I don't see it as being an issue. It's all about power and leverage. A kid can play DT/NT at 6'6 as long as he is quick off the ball and stays low. I would like nothing better than to have a monster at NT who can choke slam the center and a guard busting open holes for the backers to fire through.
