Beating a Top 25 Mississippi State team into the ground in their own house won't be a bad way to start, IMO JMO

This is a huge game for Miss st if they beat us they go into alabama undeafted probly ranked inside the top 15. But if we beat them i can see the media throwing us into the top 25 to spice up the bama match up alittle. Either way the sec always makes headlines.

Screw Mississippi State. This is a bigger game for us, despite some fans saying "it's just Mississippi State."

They're ranked. They're home. We haven't beaten a ranked team in what feels like forever. The media is going to blow smoke up our butts if we win or trash us if we lose. Recruits want to see us win "a big game." This my friends, is it.

Lets say the Vols beat Miss St. We are 4-2 with wins over a ranked team, and a beat down on a team that just upset the #3 team. With two losses to a top 5 team and 7point loss to a top 10 team. It wouldn't surprise me if the Vols are ranked for Bama.

JUST WIN! Who cares about rankings right now. We need wins and need them in a bad way!!

Could happen but teams ranked 19-24 are either unbeaten or have 1 loss. Mich at 3-2 #25

These were the teams AP last week getting votes:
Ohio 79, Baylor 62, Iowa St. 54, TCU 50, Michigan St. 49, Washington 39, Arizona St. 39, N.C. State 17, Nebraska 5, Arizona 4, Tennessee 3, Duke 3, Tulsa 2, Texas Tech 2, Penn St. 1, Northwestern 1

If we're not ranked oh well. But I do think we're better than Michigan.....

Texas A&M and Louisiana Tech play each other, so somebody will drop out.

NC ST with more votes.. That's the ACC for ya.

New article up on Scout. Talks about his top 5. Can't read the article, but looking at his profile page I presume they are Maryland, Miami, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

Ya just saw that too. Does anyone have an account and could give us the cliff notes? Greatly appreciated...

From the Rivals site:

So what's new with Yannick Ngakoue? He's been quiet since de-committing from Maryland, but I know one thing -- he likes South Carolina. Whether the Gamecocks are in the lead is a point that can be debated, but they're clearly in good shape. The other finalists - Miami, Maryland, West Virginia and Tennessee -- are all in play, but of all those, I'd feel pretty good if I were on the South Carolina staff.

I wish South Carolina would disappear back into irrelevance. Spurrier can't retire soon enough.
