General Info:
Left w approximately 3 min left in the game and Friendship was losing to North Point 27-12. Talent abounds at Friendship but they are one of the worst coached teams I have seen at the HS level in quite some time despite their 6-0 record coming into this game. To say the coach was clueless in terms of game planning and preparation might be an understatement. The score was 20-0 @ half. Twice they got the ball inside the opposition's 5 yd line and not only did they not score but they moved backwards to about their opponent's 30 yd line WITHOUT penalties.
Tabor & Gray are THEEEEEEE REAL DEAL! I'll expound more in their threads.
Positives: Yannick is physically imposing (6'2 230), has good speed and is consistently in the backfield. Flashed glimpses of his coverage as he effortlessly covered the TE. His potential is enormous.
Areas for Improvement: Yannick's best attributes may be a gift and a curse at the HS level. While he was consistently in the backfield, once he got there he didn't make plays as consistently as you'd like as he has a tendency to overrun plays. He also appeared to take plays off despite only playing on the defensive side of the ball.
I'll see if I can upload some pics of Yannick. Tried unsuccessfully snapping a few of J.Tabor and D.Gray.
