'13 D.C. LB Yannick Ngakoue

How are we looking with this kid I haven't heard anything in awhile. This would be a big get IMO.

Good bump. I would love to hear some news on him and his teammate, Derwin Gray, as well. It would be REALLY NICE to sign both of them...2 great players at positions of need.

Yea I would love to get them both. IMO Yannick Ngakoue would be a huge get and could be a much needed ILB that we need for this class and I would love to know where we stand with this guy

The latest Rivals article concerning Ngakoue has him listing UT as one of the schools that stand out the most. He also says he will definitely be visiting UT again this summer, but doesn't have a date set yet.

Hopefully when he visits this summer he realizes this is where he want to be! Would be a huge get!

Bump. Has there been idea as of when this guy will visit?

Has already visited once in the spring w/ his teammate, Derwin Gray. I believe he said he would come back again in the summer, but no date has been set yet.

I heard that as well I just wasn't sure if there was an idea as of when he would be visiting this summer

I don't think anything has been mentioned...one thing that I am sure of is that we need both Yannick and Gray to be Vols!!

Winning might pull him, especially if MD doesn't do well. Hard to believe elite talent want to play at such perenial mediocre programs. I guess distance trumps a lot of other variables though.

Guess this makes sense now as to why we allowed some of the LBs we have to commit. I am NOT saying that they aren't good pick-ups...just saying that I am guessing the coaches knew that Yannick was one guy that we weren't getting. He was a take all the way. I really thought that we had a good chance with him and Gray. Maybe we can get back in the mix with a great season.
