'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

Yes it would be his best win to date, but that isn't saying much. That still doesn't make it a signature win, the kind of "W" Dooley needs. It wouldn't "prove" that Tennessee is back or that he can compete with the big boys.

A win on the road over a top 15 SEC team is a signature win, always. Especially with his resume. There are better wins, yes, but that'd be a good one still.

Miss St would at this point be a solid win but no where near a signature win.

Miss St. win against Auburn this year was the first win against an SEC West opponent not named Ole Miss since 2008.

FLVol53 on VQ just posted we're getting Henry. He's been wrong a couple times but I believe he's usually right. Has connections in FL and usually has solid info. TIFWIW

I'll take any one of green, Henry, Turman or kamara! Any two, and I'd be super stoked but would be happy with just one...doesn't matter which. I think all of them are game changers!

First play, first game next year, I would very much like to see Tyler Bray hand the damn ball off to Derrick Henry off tackle.

It would be awesome if we did but I am sure not going to get my hopes up after reading all the Bama still leads post in this thread.

Last year Taylor broke Emmitt Smith's state record for rushing yards. Last week, Henry upped the ante by passing Smith and setting a new state record for rushing yards in a single game. In a win over Jacksonville-Jackson, he carried for 502 yards, breaking the 27-year-old mark (501) formerly held by Tampa Bay Tech's Shawn Smith. He was named U.S. Army All-American Bowl High School Player of the Week for his efforts.

Taylor, whose single-game best is 437, and Henry are now chasing the national record set in Texas nearly 60 years ago.

Since his eighth-grade season at Glades Day, Taylor has a state-record 10,582 career rushing yards. Since the National Federation of High Schools recognizes totals from grades 9-12 in determining national records, Henry is actually closer to Ken "The Sugar Land Express" Hall's mark of 11,232 yards.

Henry has 9,255 yards, second to Taylor in Florida history and 1,977 behind Hall. From freshman year on, Taylor has 8,998 yards, 2,234 shy of Hall.

Also, if Henry gains more than 100 rushing yards Friday, he will tie the national record for consecutive 100-yard games (39).

Glades Day's Kelvin Taylor and Yulee's Derrick Henry, two of country's top all-time prep running backs, square off Friday | pbgametime.com
