You sure like your own opinions don't you. Sorry I misread how the nature of volnation is. Didn't mean to get your panties in a wad.
Why would firing Dooley now be a disaster all knowing genius? Put an interim tag on a coordinator, maybe Sal, and let the search begin. What recruits would we lose that would even mean ****?
Please shed more of your infinite wisdom on me.
Heard all these excuses last year. We got beat by FL worse this year than last year. Half of our coaches jumped ship for same jobs at ****ing Washington. Dooleys best recruit isn't on the team anymore.
2013? There's a good chance we could be worse next year!
We can't afford to have Dooley getting outcoached every time we play a team worth a damn.
So if Ga hands us our own butts in Athens tomorrow than that's cool with you I guess. Got it.
Yes, I do like my own opinions, obviously or I wouldn't post them here.. However, my method of delivery was wrong and for that I apologize.. I should not have used terms like "dumbest thing I've read", "brilliant statement" and called you a troll.. After re-reading your post I realize you were being sarcastic with your "State of VolNation" comment..
As far as the "fire Dooley now" thing we will have to agree to disagree.. I truly believe that to fire Dooley now, without a plan and a successor waiting in the wings would be a HUGE mistake.. To me, the downside of this is obvious but I realize my opinion is not shared by all which is to be expected..
All this will take care of itself one way or another in the coming weeks.. It would be nice if VolNation as a whole (me included) could tone down the rhetoric.. Ultimately we all have one thing in common, a love for the VOLS..
Again, you have my apologies sir...
Peace and GO VOLS... :hi:
You're right. Casual and fair weather fans don't truly understand the problems that Dooley inherited. He's dealt with a lot of the roster issues but we have a lack of Senior leadership. You can't expect to remake the culture of a football program over night. Just doesn't happen. Period.

No, not what I am saying at all.
What I am saying is that a bunch of spoiled rotten Tennessee Vols fans that expect Dooley to beat the elite teams in this conference with 1 arm tied behind his back are delusional at best.
This team has not had enough talent to compete with the top teams in the conference since 2007.
We are still 1 year away.

So what you're saying is that you want Tennessee to become Bama of the Perkins/Curry/Dubose/Franchione/Shula (irrelevant) eras?
i.e. Let's hire and fire coaches every 3 years until we luckily hire the coach of the century (Saban is not coming to Knoxville) after Rich-Rod turns us down.
Got it.
Lolwhat?
2007
Main article: 2007 Alabama Crimson Tide football team
Saban, announced on January 3, 2007, that he accepted an offer to become Alabama's 27th head coach following a meeting with Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga.[23] On January 4, 2007, Nick Saban was officially introduced as the head football coach of The University of Alabama at a press conference on the Alabama campus. On September 1, 2007, his Crimson Tide opened the season with a 526 win over the Western Carolina Catamounts, scoring more points than during any game in the 2006 season. He became the fifth Alabama coach since 1900 to start his first season 30, earning a win over then-ranked No. 16 Arkansas Razorbacks.[24] Alabama ended the regular season with a 66 record, including a four-game losing streak, a particularly humiliating loss at home to Louisiana-Monroe, and a loss to Auburn in the Iron Bowl, the Tide's sixth straight. The Tide defeated Colorado in the 2007 Independence Bowl, 3024, to end the year 76.
No doubt. Doesn't even phase me either b/c I knew better. We were running second the whole time. He's been Bama bound since the visit that caused him to decommit from GA.
My mistake, replace Moore for Hart. Sorry.
No problem and no hard feelings either.
I just have a problem with the general impatience of our fanbase right now.
My point is the comparison of Dooley to "big name" coaches is not real because there are ZERO big name coaches that have taken over a program in this shape.
If a big name coach had been hiredin 2010, the difference in the W-L record might realistically be 2-3 games.
I am not giving up or settling for mediocrity, but I do think CDD deserves another year to right the ship.
