'13 GA CB Shaq Wiggins (Transferring to UT)

Good point, I do remember that.

Personally, I don't think we would though. Unless the staff knows something everybody else doesn't I don't think we are in a position to turn down a corner of his caliber as we have missed on so many corners up to this point.

:hi:
I just don't see CDD recruiting someone like this as hard as some others... He's just not the size CDD likes

F*** size, You don't need size to be a great football Player. Size is just an advantage you can have over your opponent.

Size does matter a lot. Especially if you're not particularly fast or strong like this kid.

Steve Smith didn't have size. There is a star on our team that doesn't have size.(Tyler Bray) Just because you have size doesn't mean you have a lot of talent. Just look at the Fake UT's roster. Full of size but there is no talent. Good size is good to have but that doesn't mean you are a freak of an athlete. Nuff Said

Steve Smith is extremely fast and strong. This kid isn't. You're arguing size with the wrong somebody because I'm a fan of good football players. Tyler Bray is 6'6 with a cannon for an arm. And who is the fake UT? Texas? If so they have plenty of talent down there. Would love to have that secondary they are rolling out this year. Also what do you think makes our WRs special? The size they are bringing to the table. Ask Jabari Greer if size matters? I love him to death but Andre Johnson(man-child) just mangled him when we played them at home.

SN: Steve Smith has been my favorite WR for years.

You know who else didn't have size? A ton of players you've never heard of, because they weren't big enough.

CDD would turn down a Wiggins commitment?

If asked, I would advise against recruiting Wiggins. He is too small to be a great SEC player, and his speed is good, but not great, and his film is less than impressive. There are a several 2013 players left on our board that are better than him, imo, and quite a few more coming in 2014.

I just do not see him as an upgrade to what we already have playing for us, and our current db's are relatively young. WR's, like other positions, are getting larger and faster, so I just see no reason to take Wiggins.

Last night NBC did an Olympics special and they brought up the size of the athletes today vs 10-20-30 years ago and it was remarkable. It's literally size and muscle mass that's the difference between gold and not qualifying for an event. Of course talent is what gets you there to begin with

At his size this kid would need to be a bit better athlete. He's not anywhere near the athlete it takes to overcome his size in this league. I watched him in his camp tape and the WRs were just pushing through him with ease. He also wasn't showing any recovery speed. He may end up as a decent nickelback but I doubt he becomes a starter for UGA. They usually have better CBs lining up over there.

Ok I am about to kill everybody with this because you talking to a scholarship athlete that doesnt have great size. So your theory is flawed. Steve Smith and Russell Wilson are considered very short for their position. Which goes back to what I was saying size isn't everything.

Wait Tyler Bray doesn't have size? Are we thinking about the same Tyler Bray?

Edit: whoops should have read the rest of the thread 1st..didn't mean to pile on

Ok. What does he weigh now? From pics and videos I've seen he looks to have added quite a bit of weight. utsports lists him at 215. Anyone know if that's accurate?
