'13 GA CB Shaq Wiggins (Transferring to UT)

That's because Wiggins has a lot to learn about how to play the position.

Have you ever evaluated his technique and footwork because if you know anything about DB's you'll know that Shaq is one of the best technicians in the country. He's not the biggest or the fastest but makes up with technique and positioning. He's been trained also by some of the best DB coaches in GA working with Raw Talent and I Dare U

I've heard he's technically sound but his size worries me. JMO.

Did he have any other info to share with you about his time spent here this week?

Hey may be a little small but with our current CB situation I'd love to flip him. He doesn't half to start right away, the kid is 17. He'll grow more and a college SC program can fill him out.

That's classic. I don't think I've set it up any better before than that one. :hi:

You really did set me up pretty nicely. Appreciate it. :hi:

Regarding Wiggins, I personally wouldn't read too much into his UT visit. He has been attending and participating in just about every camp or combine in the Southeast. He competed in Vanderbilt's final "Elite Summer Camp" on Sunday so I assume he was just checking UT out because he was already in state. He is also committed to UGA, but has been rumored to be very interested in flipping to Auburn. I would take his "newfound interest" in UT with a grain of salt. He isn't good enough to worry about anyway, IMO.

So does all the hate come from him committing to uga and we like to hate on the ga posters? I would be fine if he switched.

Honey Badger makes it work. He may turn out okay. Who knows? Just speculation from the masses at this point.

I'm concerned with his size, speed, and bulk. Short CBs need to be fast and built really solid. He's a small guy that I think physical guys will run through early on in routes because he can't hold position. He was beat a lot in the 1 v 1s in Atlanta. For such a technician he shouldn't be holding so much. He gets caught up trying to jam too much which really isn't his game. He's more of a sticky, finesse corner and he should play like that more.

Sorry if this is old news, but I found an interesting article on ESPN where Shaq Wiggins says he would be a Vol if Lance Thompson were still a member of UT's staff.
