'13 GA CB Shaq Wiggins (Transferring to UT)

The day coaches and programs stop pulling offers from kids who have been committed is the day I'll start getting worked up about kids changing their commitments.

Commitment goes both ways, it's the nature of the beast.

If he comes good if he doesn't bye bye, we are TENNESSEE we don't give a damn no reason to get worked up by a kid that's going to be here 6 months.

Wiggins did respond to a reporter that it was not a big deal, still committed and like he was trying to be nice to his old coach. But he was originally banned from transferring to Miss St. He appealed that ban and it was lifted...then he visited. IMO He is visiting for a reason & trying not to upset Butch in case he doesn't like it. But he is there till tomorrow for a reason...

"He just text me that he made the trip because State has been hounding him to do it. Went on to text that, "I'm a Vol and we going to turn up"

So that's the latest..."

Read this VN 👆🏻

I'm not sure if people even read half of these posts. Calm down people. It would suck if we lost him but we weren't expecting him this off season at first anyway.

You could literally say that about every recruit

When I read he was coming here, my reaction was "hmm cool" almost indifferent.
But I'm a competitive arse and once he did commit.. State needs to keep their damn dirty paws out of our stash.

I'm just messed up like that.

"Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash.
New car caviar 4 star daydream
Think I'll buy a football team".

Pink Floyd

Kinda fitting :)

Very fitting. We have 4 star and football team in that verse. Although, knowing Pink Floyd is British, I'm sure they mean soccer

Dude commits and decommits with the wind. UGA, UL, MSU, UT, now he's entertaining MSU again. We need a split second decision maker in the two deep. If he wants to play football in a cow pasture far removed from any other civilization. Go for it. He can always get a burger at Jack's.

I'd like for him to play here. I think we can benefit from having him on the team. I really don't have too much issue with him showing some respect to his former coach by going on a visit and listening to what he has to say either. That's jmo though.

Agree

I understand why people are skeptical. . . after-all, it wouldn't be the first time he's followed the very same coach to a new university.

If the kid really wants to try to go pro, he needs to be coached by Shoop/Warren. He's gotten all he's gonna get out of Grantham.

Spoke to him by phone this afternoon. Told me he saw his old buddies but nothing had changed and will be heading to Knoxville in the coming days. Obviously he could be playing both sides but he didn't have to call me so take it however you want.
