'13 GA OLB Reuben Foster

Freeze could just be that good. His faith was played up a few months back. That helps with many families. I am pretty sure that he comes across as very "clean" which will also play well with many parents.

I hope you really dont believe this. An average program that hasnt been relevant since the 60's and an hardly known unproven coach on the big stage is putting together a class that is better than alot of the powerhouses. That has redflag all over it

And who has proof if this? I see this thrown around so much because it just must be true. I live about 5 minutes from Briarcrest and while I have no direct ties to the school, I have never heard if such a thing. I even have a friend who had Freeze as a teacher at Briarcrest and is an alum from Mississippi State. He would know if there were any issues. I am not saying one way or another, but I don't understand why the assumption is that someone must be cheating if they recruit well. Some people are just good at what they do.

if foster doesnt end up at alabama he doesnt make it in my opinion. too much drama, but alabama never kicks off their stars just backups so he'll be safe there. /sarcasm kinda.. but I truly see him flipping to Alabama and auburn people will be up in arms.

It will actually be more difficult for him to get in if he commits to Bama. Auburn High wont do him any favors if he has grade issues but he should be good to go classroom wise by the summer based on what I hear.

I heard the recruiting show sent a car to pick him up for his announcement. I still have no idea where he ends up and whoever he commits to tonite will have a long 48 hours to see if it sticks.

So if Butch starts landing monster classes will other programs say its because we are dirty and throwing money around?

Recruiting show sent a car? Hmmm, Almost sounds like that should not happen.

I should say yes because that is what I hear on here about UA.:)

But there is a big difference between a minor SEC school like Ole Miss and a school like UT rich in tradition. Just saying.

Haha. So if no one has proof, I am naive. Just tired of people throwing around allegations without a clue of what they are talking about. The same will happen next year to us when I believe CBJ will have a class like OM this year. If you really look at it, which most don't care to, a lot of OM's class is due to circumstances. Treadwell, Nkemdiche, and Conner all have connections to OM. Dodson is from Memphis and has been committed for a long time. So to throw around this crap without any proof is frankly childish and a poor sport.

I agree,

I have no clue how Treadwell connected to Ole Miss so I will not comment. Now Nkemdichee his brother had no major offers. Does not mean he could not play because we have seen his play this year and the kid is legit. But he did not commit to Ole Miss until Late May 2011, 3 months after NSD because thing out there said he would not qualify. Somehow Ole Miss got him in. So the whole strategy to get his brother Robert started. In regards to cheating going on google the article about the investigation by the state of MS where Ole Miss is being accused of offering his father a job at the medical school to get Robert.

Now also please show me the connection for Tunsil or C Jones who has been committed to MSU forever and others that were not even considering Ole Miss until the last couple of weeks. See if Tunsil and these other top tier recruits who have no connection to Ole Miss were considering them, even just mentioning them during their recruitment no one really could question it. But a lot different for a middle tier team of the conference to all of sudden have a half dozen 5 stars possibly pick your school with just 2 weeks of recruiting them. So I guess you can see where all the speculation may be coming from. Just saying.

Treadwell evidently has a teammate and friend already at Ole Miss. About Nkemdiche, I was told it was the last good thing that Nutt did. There was a recruit whose Mom forged his signature on the LOI and really wanted to go to another school. Nutt agreed to let him go, and they ended up letting Nkemdiche in later. Nothing wrong with that, and the kid has been very good.

I don't care about what you can google. Until the NCAA says something, then it doesn't matter. Some other guys who are interested may be a red flag, but I have followed recruiting for a while, and teams have "hot" years. Schools just get it going. At this point, what school's future looks better? OM or MSU. Freeze plays a lot of freshmen and beats Mullen. You tell me.

Accusations are just childish IMO until someone tells me otherwise.

Yeah, you're right...

It's still going on though... :)

I just responded to your post as why I think people are speculating. I could care less what they are doing. If they get caught they get caught if they do not it really does not matter until they put it all together on the field. Everyone accused the old AU staff of cheating but even if they did the talent never came together. And right now beating MSU does not equte to much and even with whatever talent they get I do not see them as a threat in the SEC anytime soon. Sorry not sold on Freeze being a good coach.

That's the problem right there. You are talking about a very incompetent and corrupt organization.

Look up the Scam Newton loophole. That explains it very well.

What are the chances Foster commits to bama then flips to the barn on NSD??

Wishful thinking by AU fans 100%

Actually happening 0%

I think who ever he commits to tonite it will stick. Even though his whole recruitment has been a circus the past few weeks have been different. In the past it all stemmed from his interviews and every chance he got to get interviewed. This now is the media trying to create news more than anything. Foster has not tipped his hand to anyone and not said one thing about what happened this weekend at Au or UA. In the past he would have.

Where he commits tonite who knows.

Tunsil was a Dawg lock. He told coaches, current players, and recruits that he was coming to Athens. One OV to Oxford, which was his first visit ever I believe, and he decides on Ole Miss and cuts off communication with everybody.

Do I have proof? No, but I have followed recruiting for a long time and it just does not add up. I may be wrong and he just liked Ole Miss more.

I don't think many AU fans would lose any sleep if he goes elsewhere. His recruitment becomes more of a circus everyday.
