'13 GA RB Tyshon Dye

As strange as this may sound, I don't want to be in the position that Georgia is in, with 8,000 big-name running backs. It's not like they're running the ball enough to give everybody carries. While I understand you gotta have depth, at what point are you stockpiling guys who won't ever see the field?

Where I'm coming from is we have a roster with one Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman four-star running backs. Dooley's stated that he wants to have three backs to rotate, with one main guy to handle the mail. So what's the balance there?

Give me UGA's tailbacks. You don't look for D.Young types when you can get a Keith Marshall or a Crowell. I want some real physical RBs. It's not like we run Urban Meyer's offense.

Honestly, I wouldn't be mad if we decided to take 3 RBs this class with two being 'true' rbs and the third being more of an APB. Sure, we have other needs but if Bray puts up the type of numbers we think he's capable of putting up then he's three sheets in the wind next year and transitioning to a new qb w/o running backs is tough.

A friend of Tyshon was gonna bring him up to Junior Day on March 3. So he called the AD office to let them know Tyshon was coming and they told him well he wasnt on the invite list and that his recruiter will invite him because this was an invite only junior day. Thats something you dont say to a recruit of his caliber you say hold on Ill let you talk to someone.

Not the first time we've heard about a top talent wanting to visit, but couldn't get through the AD secretary.

I'm Glad I didnt read in February My response would have been way more venomous than

"What in the f***!?!?"

They got the issue worked out and he was invited. I'm not sure if it was just a mistake or what , but it upset quite a few here.

Kid is a good looking RB, but in his highlight tape he telegraphs his run direction with a lean before the snap.

Given the state of our depth chart at RB, if a kid says he even plays the position, whatever hilljack idiot they have answering the phone needs to tell the kid he's invited.

What the hell is the deal with this invitation issue? Not the first time it's came up. Do we get that many gate crashers?

Perhaps I need some more insight on this.

You would think that a guy who is a total control freak would at least have a clue as to what is going on.

Yeah, Orange Venom, you said that Dye was really close to a Clemson commit back a month or two ago. I'm not doubting you at all; I know you're around these recruits a lot. I'm just wondering what is going on. Has he paused for a while to think about things? Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. 247 now has him at warmer for South Carolina and Auburn and warm for us and cool for clemson

I think in an interview with 247 in the last week or so named Auburn and Carolina as his top 2. He still hasn't visited SC though.

He's looking at his options plus he knows he has a good shot at getting playing time early at UT. I've heard from different sources this is the RB Coach Graham wants most.

Clemson is not pushing that hard for him now that the staff feels good about Derrick Green.
