I bet they end up with around 25 next year. No way there wont be attrition of less than 10 guys from now until next January IMO. You'll have a few go pro early and surely a handful of the marginal takes over the last few years will move on. Attrition is always greater than projected.
Most "in the know" said we would take a full 25 this year. If Bynum was not willing to flip on NSD or does not sign with us, we would be at 21. Most said CDD would cut enough players to sign a full class and that did not happen. I would also argue that it may be a little tougher cutting players he(CDD) recruited himself. Cutting 10+ guys loose next year may not be as sure a thing as some think. JMO
I do expect a couple to consider the NFL.
They would absolutely have taken 25 this year had they been able to land the guys they wanted. It obviously didn't work out that way. That's the only reason they are at 21. I'd rather be at 21 like they are instead of being at 25 with 4 of them being nothing but fillers.
Ridgeland High School star safety Vonn Bell got another phone call from another high-profile SEC football coach Thursday..
Vols Derek Dooley gives Vonn Bell a call, offer

The problem here is that the staff will probably only sign 2 or 3 DB's next year. We already have one committed so that leaves maybe 1 or 2 spots. Who do you go with?
Jalen Ramsey
Vonn Bell
Shaq Wiggins (Vols lead for)
Ryan White
M. Alexander (current commits twin who said they are going to the same school)
Corn Elder (some like him better at DB)
Donald Gray (current commits teammate)
Darius Sims
etc...
I think they should offer Bell, but this is what the coaches are looking at and studying right now.
