I bet they end up with around 25 next year. No way there wont be attrition of less than 10 guys from now until next January IMO. You'll have a few go pro early and surely a handful of the marginal takes over the last few years will move on. Attrition is always greater than projected.

Most "in the know" said we would take a full 25 this year. If Bynum was not willing to flip on NSD or does not sign with us, we would be at 21. Most said CDD would cut enough players to sign a full class and that did not happen. I would also argue that it may be a little tougher cutting players he(CDD) recruited himself. Cutting 10+ guys loose next year may not be as sure a thing as some think. JMO

I do expect a couple to consider the NFL.

They would absolutely have taken 25 this year had they been able to land the guys they wanted. It obviously didn't work out that way. That's the only reason they are at 21. I'd rather be at 21 like they are instead of being at 25 with 4 of them being nothing but fillers.

Do you think it will throw a hitch in UT/Bama ways of recruiting and cutting players loose with alot of teams starting to offer the 4 year ships? I saw some articles talking about UF and Arkansas was doing it already. I would think that would have to play into a recruits decision if UT or Bama is offering you a 1 year ship with a reputation for cutting kids loose while other teams are offering 4 years.

Now can the Bell entourage/paparazzi stfu. Now let's see if he wants to be a Vol. His recruitment shouldn't last 2-3 months at the most. He got what he wanted.

MH there will be some attrition right after spring practice. Naz Oliver may be one right off the top of my head. But guys will say I'm not about to play period. We'll sign 25 next season there is too much potential in that class. Saban cans players like crazy and it doesn't matter to media, prospects, or the fanbase as long as he wins.

The problem here is that the staff will probably only sign 2 or 3 DB's next year. We already have one committed so that leaves maybe 1 or 2 spots. Who do you go with?

Jalen Ramsey
Vonn Bell
Shaq Wiggins (Vols lead for)
Ryan White
M. Alexander (current commits twin who said they are going to the same school)
Corn Elder (some like him better at DB)
Donald Gray (current commits teammate)
Darius Sims
etc...

I think they should offer Bell, but this is what the coaches are looking at and studying right now.

I would offer those 3 b/c most likely you will get at least 2 outta 3..If all three committ, that's not a bad thing;otoh, I agree with Dooley that we need to sign a max. of 3 DB's...so someone will get left out..it happens...Just so many to choose from.
