For all the people on here seriously ripping the staff earlier for no offer: You do realize that the staff had been running at 1/2 capacity for 4-6 weeks while wrapping up the '12 class. Something that can be explained away to Vonn in say 45 seconds.

finally a voice of reason...

I agree that we shouldn't rip someone for pumping the kid up. Hell I'd be glad to take him. It does get a little irritating when it spreads into other recruits threads so let's just keep it here.

Here's hoping to locking him down early.

Sorry, I had to step away long enough to get Bell his offer. :birgits_giggle:

The kid has already visited UT. It's been over 4 hrs since he was offered and he has not committed. Seems like alot of "hub-bub" over nothing. "I have been a lifelong VOL, I just want that offer".

-phone rings-
"Vonn, it's CDD, we would like to extend you an offer to play at Tennessee and be a major part of our 2013 class".

-Vonn hangs up phone-
He calls Chattanooga Free Press, and names a top 3 of Utah State, Fresno Community College, and Akron.

Just as planned! :eek:lol:

Alabama and Georgia offerred. Who cares about some poster pumping him up? I saw this kid's youtube video and he has a knack for being around the ball just like Eric Berry. If fact the similarity in playing style is amazing.

What took UT so long to see this kid?

UT "saw" the kid before obviously as there are pics of him as a visitor at a UT game with the recruit credentials around his neck. Bama did just offer TODAY as well if the newspaper article is correct and confirmed he had a Bama offer and did not just take a butthurt HS coaches word for it.

Now can the Bell entourage/paparazzi stfu. Now let's see if he wants to be a Vol. His recruitment shouldn't last 2-3 months at the most. He got what he wanted.

I heard a guy from Chattanooga call in on the sports amimal that knew this guy personally. He said Bell and his coach tried contacting Dooley just to see if they were interested because he is a VOL fan. They never heard back. ( until today of course) That is inexcusable for him to not contact a player that is being recuited by our rivals. I am not one of those hoping Dooley fails, because quite frankly I can not take loosing any longer, but that bothers me.

Dooley is not going to offer someone just because a rival does. That would be retarded.

I did not say he had to offer, but he would not even respond to his inquiry. That worries me when a top recruit comes to you and does not get a response while your rivals are.

I would imagine CDD and UTs offices get a huge amount of calls from random coaches, parents, and recruits about their interest in Tennessee. This kid can not sign until Feb. 2013. He had at most, 2 offers when CDD offered. It's not like NSD 2013 is a week away and CDD is not answering the phone or returning calls. Bell's "get me that offer" posse need to just calm down. Did he commit upon getting the offer? No. Alot of drama and crying for nothing IMO.

We just hired a new DC, I'm sure the old defensive assistants knew of Bell (evidence by them bringing him in for the USCjr game) & were probably going to offer soon but when they bolted & we hired Sunseri the '13 class took a back seat for a few weeks. Sunseri & Dooley had to work ther tails off to finish off the '12 class & try to hold onto a few prospects. I'm also sure Dooley didn't want to offer a defensive player w/out Sunseri watching the kids film & approving of it.

I am just going by what that guy that knew him said. He said Alabama and Georgia had offered and Bell had been trying for some time to see if Tn was even interested at all. If they invited him to the USC jr game than that tells me he knows they are interested in him. In response to the guys post before yours, yes he is a 2013 recruit, but a lot of guys get mail or some form of interest to let them know they are looking at them WELL BEFORE their junior year. It just seemed that Dooley was not being proactive enough, but that guy may have misrepresented how his recruitment was going.:peace2:

Damn. No commitment? What is taking so long?

LOL!! That's what I am saying. A person said he would need to visit UT to make sure it was the place for him. I guess the visit for the USCe game did not count. I have noticed alot more people coming on these boards and talking about how the local guys are getting screwed and UT gives them no love. They cry for offers and claim to know the kids personally. "He is all Vol he just needs the offer". UT offers and then the tune seems to change. "I am greatful to get the offer, I just need to lok around and consider my options". LMAO!!

Article on Bell up on Scout, I don't have a Sub so I can't see what it says, anyone care to summarize? TIA.

 what at kinda fools are complaining about 2013 & 2014 recruits when we were down to 4 remaining coaches on staff during a crucial recruiting year. 2012 was THE one and only option after the turnover.

stop crying and just use your head.

My point.........Texas offered lifelong big Texas fan Santos a week or two before signing day. Bell wants to be a Vol and we are a day after NSD for 2012. Not too late. His entourage needs to stop bxtchin all day.
