Not going to happen IMO. Saban is a smart guy. The guy was a complete failure in the NFL. Also, a control freak and Jerry Jones would be a disaster waiting to happen.

Hart is putting a lot of this years losses upon himself, he is the biggest reason Sal is our dc. We're averaging what, 38 pts per? And have 4 wins to show for it. We should only have 1 for sure loss right now. I bet in august if someone said we'll score 44 on UGA, everyone would have been very happy with that. You should be able to be happy about that. We scored 35 on carolina, us and UF only 2 teams to score more than 21 on them. Its frustrating for everyone.

As he should. If that is the case, he should man up and back Dooley. Like you said, an average DC and we are sitting with 1-2 losses and Dooley looks pretty dang good.

Every man does have a price. I doubt it happens but I would be very concerned for Saban if he did bolt for the Cowboys job. He better get some kind of security detail in his contract.

Yes there was. Bringing in T.O. was not something Parcells wanted. And he's still just a mediocre pro coach. Dummy was trying to bring his whole college team to Miami through the draft and undrafted free agents.

The offense is pretty darn good. The special teams are pretty good. Our punt coverage has been good, i think we're giving up a little over 7 yards per return. KO coverage is good, ko return game is very good. Only thing bad on this team is defense imo. Sal should have schemed what the talent would aloow him to, that was Wilcoxs approach. Wilcox didnt have very much of his schemes implemented because lack of depth/talent at spots.

At this point all that matters is focusing on recruiting and what can be improved on for the rest of the season. I think the VOLS can/will win out, but I also thought we would go 10-2 with losses to Bama and Georgia orFlorida. Every year that Dooley has been here the personnel has improved, but the new defense has flipped everything upside down.
What are the needs: a pass rusher, RB(s), bigtime WR, impact LB's, and DB's.
What guys can fill these needs and add depth: Passrusher-Carl Lawson needs to be Vol
RB(s)- Derrick Green and AJ Turman
WR- Marquez North has the tools to develop
LB's- we have 5 commited, but there isn't one that is a "wow he is going to be all-SEC" Yannick Ngakoue is the best chance here
DB's: K.Miles and JRM are committed, but we need J.Ramsey and V.Bell, BAD. It looks as if we have missed on these two, but its fair game until they sign.

There is clearly not enough talent on the defensive side of the ball and that has to change. If the VOLS win out and win the bowl game with an 8-5 record there will be proof to show top guy.

Very true.. this class has potential to be awesome, but right now it is just mediocre.

With LSU's defense we still lose to Bama. We scored 13 points and it was due to a dumb gameplan on our part. And a gutless coach at the head of everything. Dooley hasn't blown up in a game on Hunter for his drops yet. Other coaches would be all over JH11 for the lack of concentration on the deep balls.

Also losing Randolph made us have to play #3 who is absolutely terrible at safety.

You can't say you trust us lining up for a FG. We are barely making XPs these days.

This has been done against UT all year. You would think that someone would be used as a spy and stay home in the middle or rush 3 drop 8. Passes up the middle and draw plays were wearing us out. I think our kids are better players than what they are playing. We have more talent thanlast year but our defense sucks so much worse. Sal should scheme to his players strengths to give them a chance to make plays.

Sure makes things alot easier with a very good defense like lsu has.

Moore and Randolph started against ncst if im not mistaken.

And i dont feel confident when we line up for a fg, still doesnt take from the fact we're 16-19 for the year.
