What sucks is I think if we woulda brought in literally any other DC this year, the wanting Dooley fired talk wouldn't even be there.
He and Chaney have put together one of the best offenses Tennessee has ever had..it's a shame our defense is so horrible. We've put up enough points to be 7-2 right now and if we had anything close to an average defense, we would be. And if that were the case, Dooley would be sitting pretty in the eyes of our fans.
We have some powerful check writers that are now wanting change too. Hart has some help. Hamilton would never fight Cheek or anyone else within the administration, Hart will.[/
You seem to have had a change in tone in this comment has something happened that has changed you opinion in the direction we are headed?
Keep in mind, You don't need Big Money coaches to win.
You need Good Football coaches to win.
and there are plenty out there.
I know someone who knows him. He says that he was just waiting on UT to call, because that was his dream. He's loving all the attention, but from all I've heard, UT is the place he wants to be.

Uh oh...we've got another one...
There's another person in this thread that has actually proven that he knows Bell and he says the exact opposite as you...
What do you mean waiting on UT to call? I imagine UT calls him every week and he holds an offer. Please expand on your comment if you don't mind.
I'm never in this forum (you can check) and that's just what I heard. Take it for what it's worth.
The way I understand it, when he was first recruited. I guess he got some offers before the Vols showed up. I'm sure they are calling him a lot now. Now, I don't know the kid, but this is what I was told by someone who says they know him. This person is NOT a Vols fan, so it's not just wishful thinking from him.
Even if you chose not to believe me, Common sense also would tell you that he is interested in offers from two super star NC champion coach's--Meyer and Saban, and then there is Dooley. It's obvious that this is the team he has rooted for his whole life and he himself said when interviewed (I just read here- paraphrased) that he pretty much doesn't care who the coach is at Tennessee.

Skeeter, who does Cheek answer to? The UT president? The BOT? Both? Who do they answer to? I guess one of my big questions is does Gov. Haslam have any power over what's going on? I understand he has to be careful with his actions, but could he play a role in this? This apparent behind the scene power struggle is tearing apart UT. It's certainly not in the best interest of UT. And if I understand the allegations correctly, Cheek is not thinking of the big picture, rather he's concerned with controlling the pursestrings. Are there people in the admin ready to sacrifice football and the revenue it brings in? I just don't see how anyone could think that's in UT's best interest. So if these rogues exist, who has the power to rein them in? I understand the BOT meeting is coming up and they hope to fix things there, but if things go badly, does anyone have the power to overturn their decisions? This whole mess has me confused, and honestly, extremely worried about where we are headed. It's just chaos.
Our staff has been on Bell for a long time. he also didnt show up for many visits he had planned. He did however make sure he was here for the Bama game.

We have some very upset big money people, they want football healthy. For the first time in years i think we have a very good chance at seeing some changes made.
Skeet...what's up with taking Sanders? Is this a sign of how bad things are getting with recruiting? If so, we've got to cut bait before Dooley screws up the one thing he's done pretty well here (rebuild the roster)
A decent coach would have us 7-2. If Dooley doesn't know how to find a problem on defense as an offensive coach what is he doing coaching. He should at the least be able to identify the weakness of his own defense and help to mask them.
