Hope he isn't holding this against the new staff. I know its about relationships but if he grew up a UT fan and CBJ has made it abundantly clear Bell is wanted and needed I would hope he wears orange.
The recent coaching change has tremendously helped us with Bell. CBJ has made it a priority to land Bell as he would be a difference maker here from day 1. The thing that troubles me the most is that have we made up enough ground to change Bell's mind. From what I am hearing we have and CBJ has been a major part of that with him and his family. Also what makes it more sickening is that this is not the only recruit that we neglected their were many more under the prior regime. I think that the Bellamy kid was another example. He was told that he would be offered at the O & W game but when he came here for the game no offer was made and he left kind of upset. DD also dropped the ball with Christian Morris and EJ Levenberry. Also he has upset alot of coaches around the state as well as nationally especially in the FL area. It has been a sad state of affairs the past 3 yrs and what I have said has not even scratched the surface.
They just said on 104.5 the zone that Vonn Bell was playing call of duty throughout the entirety of the staff's last in home visit and that the staff could only really talk to his family bc of this. He said that he would get to know the staff on his next visit to UT. WTF? That is ridiculous and immature as hell.

And it was Paul Kuharski and the other guys who were talking about it, not some random caller.

He's a kid, they are immature at times.
Is it really such a bad thing Butch spent most of his time talking to the parents/family?
For Bell, the visit was more for his family while he said he didn't spend too much time with the Vols' coaching staff.
"It was good. It wasn't all about football. They came downstairs and played the game with me, I was playing Call of Duty most of the time when they were there. I had my brother there and we were just playing the game," Bell said. "So, it really wasn't about football, they talked about it to my mom a little bit, but mostly they talked to her about other things and I guess we'll talk football when we get down there this weekend."
Bell said the coaches were with his mom most of the time and she was impressed by what Jones and his staff had to say.
"She said she was really impressed with how coach Jones handled himself," Bell offered. "It was real big they usually come and talk about football, but it's all about building a relationship and being comfortable with them and it's all about being a family. That's one thing I'm looking for throughout this whole thing is a family atmosphere."
Oh for Gods sake let the coaches do what they do and chillThey just said on 104.5 the zone that Vonn Bell was playing call of duty throughout the entirety of the staff's last in home visit and that the staff could only really talk to his family bc of this. No its not bad that they spent time with the family. But I would think if Bell had as much nternet in us as we thought then he would at least want to sit down and talk with the coaches during their one and only in home visit.
