Go back and read my original post. I said nothing negative, just reported what they said. Now in my opinion I definitely think this in not a good sign and said so after my original post after I had a chance to think about it some more but again I originally just posted exactly what they said on the radio. I don't think that's very hard to understand.
I guarantee you a good amount of CFB players play video games at least once a week.I'm 48 and play video games. Why? Because they are fun.
These kids are smart enough to know that once they are on a team and in practice....the fun and games will be all over then. It will be time to get down to business. Can pretty much guarantee the coaches won't be offering to play video games with them later on. Take advantage of it while you can.

You sir, need a Valium. He did not say he tried to play with him. He said he played with him. And maybe the visit was scheduled to get to know his parents. Just a thought. But Saturday is Vonn Bell day at The University of Tennessee. :hi::hi:
The coaches were hanging out with the Bell family, just chillin', talking a little football to mom, playing video games...ya know, getting to know each other like folks do. That way when they come up this weekend for a 3 day stay at UT, they already have a nice feel for one another. Seems pretty positive to me. I don't think that's very hard to understand.
I saw your original post. You are right. You didn't. You have in every post since then, to include this one, even though others have tried to explain why it isn't necessarily negative. Really not trying to dog you man, just saying, you are looking at it differently than some of the others (myself included) are.
You may be the one that's right.....so may we.
Well I definitely hope you guys are right as Vonn is my favorite prospect in this class. I was just kind of shocked when they said that on 104.5 as they didn't see it as a possitive thing either. Hopefully I just took it the wrong way.

So you think that the fact that he was not involved in the coaches conversation with the family during their only in home visit is a possitive thing just because one of the coaches probably tried to connect with him or get his attention by playing with him? You would rather him sit and play Xbox then actually being involved in the visit and talking with the coaches? How in the would can you say that it is a very possitive thing that he couldn't put down the controller for a couple hours to talk with the coaches after they came to visit him at his house. He had more interest in playing a freaking video game than getting to know our coaching staff, figuring out what kind of defense they will run, and how they see him fitting into it. Not only does that sound disrespectful to me but it sounds like a recruit who is not interested in what our coaching staff has to say. I don't know how in the hell you have convinced yourself of anything else.
Or were they there to talk to Vonn and his family and try and sell UT?
How in the world can you say you're not trying to put a negative spin on it? If you read his quote, he talks about how the coaches talked about everything BUT football, and how impressive they were in showing a family environment. He also stated how important that type of environment was to him and his mom. To say that didn't have time to talk football is to ignore the fact that nobody was TALKING football.
