The people I have spoke with that used to play ball with him said they would be suprized if he didn't sign with UT. I hope when it's all said and done that he does end up at UT.

Just throwing it out there, but what if these people are saying that to keep UT fans from bothering him too much while he makes his decision. I'm sure he's well aware of the pressure there is to sign with UT, but if there's noise about a rival school, he could get harassed by crazy fans. :peace2::twocents:

It's about time we had a kid deal with in-state pressure. Hell we have to deal with it when we try to get a Bama, Florida, or Georgia kid.

+1000000!!! This year it is finally nice to be the in-state school on some of these talented guys. The only thing that would have made it better was to have won 7-8 games last season to make it easier to pull them. Oh well, we will have to wait for the 2012 season to win and reap some of the in-state benefits.

This is us with 5 Dbs.

FS: L.McNeil
SS: K.Miles
Star/Nickel: Bell( I think he can line up over a slot WR too)
CB: Bonner/ Daniel Gray
CB: T.Thomas or Jalen Ramsey(hopefully)

Those guys would have all been in the program 2-3 years too. And they are big time athletes. Also lining Bell up over the slot would allow us to play man and blitz are hard hitter instead of dropping one of the big safeties down.

Coach Ansley will be at Bells Spring game tonight. Bell said he is going to narrow his list of schools to 7 very soon. He will take visits to all 7 this summer & may hit up some camps. He'd like to make a decision in August before his season but if he isn't ready he will take all of his OV's then decide. He said he is growing a close relationship w/ Ansley & that Ansley keeps telling him that he really wants the chance to coach him. He talks to Jaq all the time & Jaq keeps telling him that he loves Tennessee & the new coaches.

Jaq is going to have a nice year. All-SEC and land a blue-chip recruit.

@KippLAdams: Willie Martinez from #Auburn, Derrick Ansley & Josh Conklin from #Tennessee were at Ridgeland HS scrimmage today to watch DB Vonn Bell.

Might have already been said but there is an article on Bleacherreport under the recruiting the top 25 uncommitted and where they would sign right now if they had to and the said that Vonn Bell would probably sign with Tennessee if he had to right now. Just thought it was interesting and good sign. Not saying that its in the bag but still a good thing.

I dont believe that now at this point his bro tol me the vols only chance would be to win 8, 9 games plus bring in more top recruits in his class to atleast get into the top 10 because his num 1 thing is to get to a big time bowl after new years which the vols cant do at this particular point in time

Bell admittedly grew up following Tennessee and has attended several football and basketball games there. He made it clear he still holds the Vols in high regard. “It’s a good tradition up there — Neyland Stadium,” Bell said. “Everybody comes and supports the team and everything. If it’s win or lose, they’re going to be up there — 100,000 for every game to support their team and everything. “It’s just a real nice tradition up there, and they’re just trying to get back on that road to a championship

He's going to narrow his list down to 7. Talks about his relationship with Ansley. They talk a lot and seems to really like him a lot. Said he was wanting to see how this year went with the new d staff.

I think we're in great shape here. If we can get rolling early and put together a win streak he may commit sooner than later.

Bell is the best Safety on UT's radar. Can't-miss, in-state prospect. Vonn just seems to have that nose for the ball that most great players have. He also is unbelieveabely goo with the ball in his hands. He constantly makes/helps create turnovers in his film. Will be interesting to see how he develops his senior year. Want Bell playing at UT.
