I hear you on the WR sweep/reverse -- I was sick of it as well (along with the mildcat formation that fooled no one -- ever). Those plays reminded me of how I got so sick and tired of Fulmer running it up the middle time after time even though it had yet to work all season. The only thing I can say in JC's defense is that he just plain did not have much to work with after JH and Bray went down. He was bringing a pea shooter to a gunfight.
I had a more significant gripe against him in that once he took the wraps off of Worley and sacrificed his RS year, he then did not stick with him to let him gain confidence and experience. That was indefensible, in my opinion. As much as he struggled at times, Worley was light years ahead of Simms, who gave us zero chance to win a game. The final straw was the KY game when he continued to play Bray when he could not hit his ass with both hands.
I think that when JC has something to work with, he is pretty good at getting mismatches in the passing game. When he found himself suddenly with only one temperamental WR, a QB who was an ultra-green true freshman who had been sleep walking as the 3rd string QB before being abruptly pressed into duty, and zero running game to fall back on, he really did not have anything to work with.

Very well said and I agree with it all.
