People really think in a fantasy world on here if I was a top guard in the country for basketball and I was from Tenn would I go to UT or UK !? Lets be realistic if you were wanting to a pro career you can over look your childhood dreams for a place with stability nobody ever imagines that they will get the opportunities that they get when they are young any way? Vonn Bell was not at UTK fan when he was younger he was a UT Longhorns fan! They came from Dallas to Chattanooga! I been knowin him and his older bro since they moved to TN

I'd bet my bottom dollar that if you've known him since he first moved here unless your family, than you probly went to school with him, so id say you go to either Ooltewah or Central.

Thats alot easier to say when your not being recruited and looking at a NFL career !:whistling:

You do know that even though UT has been down, it still has way more successful players in the NFL then Bama and OSU (nfl bust factory), and currently has 2 less players in the NFL than Bama does right?

I know him pretty well I went to school w his bro and him!! I haven talked to his bro since he went back to school but I know them very well

Andrew Bone - one of Bama's recruiting guys - said that bama seems to be on the outside looking in. And that Bell will likely either choose UT or Ohio state. Just another expert that must be wrong huh?

First of all Bone has no clue most of the time, but this time he is probably right. Than again this like Bone always, because when he says something that is true it is after the other UA sites have stated it.

U said in a previous post that one of the main things he is looking at for this year was a BCS bowl. I guess he feels like OSU is gonna pull at least the Rose Bowl since they are banned from a bowl game this year, huh...

Most of those guys Saban has coached would have been in the NFL had they played at Shelton State Community College. With or without Saban LSU has continued it's run as "DBU". Am I saying that he isn't an excellent evaluator of talent or defensive back guru? Hell no. But, I think it must be noted that he's had his fair share of 4*/5* busts in the defensive backfield recruiting as well..B.Scott, Fulton, T.Dixon, A. Lawrence ...

My point is that it's easier to put more DBs in the NFL when you have more talent readily available and can afford busts like those above and are able to be successful.

Really admire Saban's ability to hide his DB's weaknesses and put them in positions to be successful. It's something that Sal brought with him and has done really well thus far.

Fulton is a starter right now so not sure how he is a bust and Dixon transferred out before he ever played. Not Saban's fault that he went back out west to be closer to family. Scott was a bust, but Arenas 3 star, so it all washes out.

Since 2009 7 DBs have been drafted under Saban. Recruits and their families take notice to that.:hi:

Any good player will get drafted in the SEC.

So UT had nothing to do with E Berry getting drafted? Because if that was the case all these players that say getting an opportunity to play in the NFL is so important kid would be all over programs like Ole Miss where they could start day 1 and get drafted because they are in the NFL. Yes talent can only carry you so far. I think being on team that is successful and creates a successful environment for that talent is still needed.

Ya But if they win 9 or 10 games this year its just going to go up from there...

No, not really. Eric Berry himself had everything to do with him getting drafted. He worked his tail off and became one of the greatest UT players of all time. You are going to get exposure if you play in the SEC, a lot of exposure.

Maybe Ole miss isnt't getting a lot of players drafted because their players aren't very good.

Fletcher Cox didn't play for a very good MSU team, he was a first rounder.

Harrison Smith didn't play for a very good Notre Dame team, and he got drafted in the first round.

Dontori Poe played for a god awful Memphis team, and he was drafted in the first round.

If Janzen Jackson would have played on a very bad UT team last year, and would have been drafted in the first 2 rounds.

Aj Green got drafted in the top 5 when UGA went 6-6.

Of course the players are getting amazing coaching at Alabama, but if a player is talented, it doesn't matter what team he plays on, he will get drafted.

Again, UT has 2 less players in the NFL than Bama does. I haven't said one thing about Bell. You are so retarded when talking about UT its insane. Do you not even have a tv to see all the players in the NFL that went to UT?

UT has 4 players in the NFL that played for Dooley on terrible teams. 4 out of around 10 scholarship players is a pretty good percentage, but you wouldn't know that because you don't know anything about UT. Nothing.

Every game ive ever been at ive seen her there

good. I know that parents say and are ready to live with their kids moving away but theres a differce in an hour and 20 minutes from Ooltewah to knoxville. And around 7 hours to ohio state. it just makes it alot easier on mom and family and friends to see him play. Tusculusa is just over 3 hours away i think. so i think it comes down to AL and UT.

Another thing Vol202020 i have a little test for you just to make sure your not a troll lol. Or that you at least live around the Ooltewah area. what is in the middle of mcdonald's and hardys in Ooltewah?
