'13 HI OG/DT Reeve Koehler

"Things with Koehler looked to be dead in the water once Sam Pittman wasn't retained, but the two sides are still talking and the Vols aren't out of the race quite yet. While it still looks like a long shot, Koehler and the Vols are still talking and it's not over yet.
Official visit date: 11-9-2012
Other teams in the mix: Arkansas, Kansas, Cal, Hawaii"

I shall permit it

Butch needs to put on a full court press and reel this kid in. If we can get Koehler to go with Skipper, Sanders, and Weisman that would be a good haul on the O-line.

I think it's a long shot. I don't think he ends up here. I think the bulk of his likeness for Tennessee was Pittman. I think Pittman was the difference in him traveling this far. I don't know that he can develop that kind of relationship with the new staff in a month.

I really don't think he looks much like Coach Pitman at all.

"Talked to Reeve Koehler he is down to Tennessee, Arkansas, Kansas and Cal, could decide this week and if he does it will be between Vols, Hawgs and Jayhawks. Was pretty much silent commit to Tennessee before firing but new staff has shown re-newed interest he says so they are back on the list and high up there."

Would be a huge accomplishment for this staff to get a guy who was committed to Pittman. HUGE.

""It's going to be a feel thing," Koehler said. "Once my family gets up here on Wednesday I'm going to talk to them about it and I'll hopefully commit at the game. If not, I will probably take some visits.

Reeve Koehler has made no secret of his affinity for the Vols.
"I'm leaning toward committing. I kind of want to do it at this game like my brother (Solomon) did, but it still has to be a family choice for me."

Tennessee, Kansas, Arkansas and California are the final four for Koehler. The 6-foot-3, 280-pound recruit, however, has made no secret the Volunteers have been favored through his recruitment.

"It's been good with them," Koehler said. "They've been really interested in me throughout the time they've been there. I have family out there and the stadium really stood out to me."

How recent was thus quote?

Hmm okay I thought he committed to Kansas already. I lean toward we don't get him since we aren't taking his teammate but maybe te family pulls him here

We really need some interior lineman after next year. If we get this kid and can talk Tiny into coming back for his senior season then our line in 2014 will be just fine.

LT/Richardson
LG/Jackson
C/Crowder
RG/Koehler
RT/Sanders

I Hope we get him, but I think Arkansas has a really good chance with Pittman there but If his friend goes to Arkansas that will lock him up there but I wish we could get them both I think his lb friend would be a good pick up since it looks like we arnt going to get many more lbs in this class

Tiny would have to either get hurt, or have a really bad year to return for his senior year. IMO.
