Per Hubbs and Fortenberry, they doubt that Koehler will announce his decision this weekend. More time equals better for Tennessee.

Disagree, he stated that if he decided this weekend it would be Tennessee. If he didn't then he would take visits to Arkansas and Cal.

Then you are disagreeing with Hubbs and Fortenberry daily Q and A segment. Check out the 1-1-13 update.

EDIT: Nevermind, saw what you are disagreeing with. Guess I'm just not sold on him announcing UT at the game this weekend. A lot of smoke that Farrell hyped up Tennessee to drum up interest.

I personally don't understand that train of thought. It came out of Reeve Kohlers mouth. It is Farrell's job to ask questions to a kid who was a "publically known" silent commit.

Maybe to get to know Butch Jones and rest of staff before making decision?

Shouldn't be hard to get motivated for that trip.
A short recruiting trip is different than taking a vacation. That kind of travel can wear you down fast.

Not to mention, time is of the essence at this point. Jones could easily visit a half dozen or more regional prospects in the time that it would take to fly to Hawaii and back. Fly the young man in for an official visit if he is sufficiently interested.

He's already visited officially I believe.

Ever been to hawaii? That plane ride is beyond brutal. Great place to vacation, would be horrible for a one day trip.

I left Atlanta on a business trip one afternoon about 2:00pm and arrived in Hawaii about 10pm their time. Got up the next morning, went to my 8 am appointment and worked until 4pm, and left their office for the Airport. I took the red-eye and arrived back in Atlanta at 10 am. I went to the office and wrote my report and presented it that afternoon to the firm who whom i was consulting. I got home at 7 pm. I was totally exhausted. All of this to say it is a long trip and I doubt that Coach Jones will make a visit next week. I still think we have a good chance to sign this kid.

According to his profile (Reeve Koehler), you are correct. He attended camp at Tennessee in June and had an official visit on November 9th. Unfortunately, Coach Pittman, who was recruiting him, is now at Arkansas and it looks like they have his last official visit scheduled for 1/18.

Sounds like a great 5 Hour energy commercial :)
