'13 HI OG/DT Reeve Koehler

Hawaii to Kansas couldnt be more of a culture shock. Thats like trading in Kat Dennings for Roseanne.

Just how hard is BJ and staff recruiting him? I look at Reeve Koehler as the key prospect in our potential class of offensive linemen. The guy is a one of the top players in the nation. You have to get this kid.

SIAP but Chad Simmons tweeted me that Reeve said Vols are 3rd at best after coaching changes.

We need to flip Morris.

Morris may decide to stick with UCLA. I would think alot of kids would see it as I was not good enough early in the process, now that your missing on guys you "wanted", I will stick to my commitment. I have a feeling this class is going to roster filler at best. When you watch these All star games and of the 200 kids playing not 1 is headed to UT, it says alot.

I agree with some of this but the I.wasn't good enough doesn't matter as much seeing as its a different staff. I just hope some guys that liked Jones during recruitment but maybe thought cincy was beneath them will give him a new chance.

Hawaii to anywhere on the mainland ----- Culture shock

I advise (because I know ALL) to come to UTK!!!!

Link? Koehler has said Tennessee is third at best, this is a Kansas and Arkansas battle.

Not the OP, but I saw a picture at the "Butch Jones Vols Football Coach" facebook tweeted from ESPN that had the headlines that he was down to two teams with Tennessee one of them. I didn't see the whole tweet and I couldn't find it on twitter.

ESPN Insider article title is Koehler down to two teams? (could not get the link to copy) I would not call this article extremely reliable because everything else I have read leans towards Kansas and Arkansas as you said, but definitely something to take a look at.

tennessee remains in the picture for three-star offensive guard reeve koehler (honolulu/st. Louis) despite the recruit's previous decommitment from the program. But the volunteers appear to be losing ground to a pair of programs, arkansas and kansas.

"koehler will take a visit (to arkansas) on the 18th," jon kirby of jayhawkslant.com wrote. "the razorbacks hired sam pittman as the offensive line coach. He was the lead recruiter for koehler at tennessee. After the visit he will visit with his family about his next step."

kansas also continues to remain in the picture especially after koehler's teammate colton goeas committed to the jayhawks:

Negavol Imo can't seem to understand people's opinions with little fact other than the glass half empty approach

His buddy he was coming to UT with was told to look around. He decided to go to Kansas. RK has been rumored to not being a part of this class for weeks. One of his final teams is Kansas. You may call it NegaVol. I call it common sense. :hi:

Pittman may be able to sway RK to Arkansas. He will not be coming to Tennessee though. Yes, I think we messed up on this one.

I don't think it's being a Nega Vol, it's common sense. The 2 elements we had to attract Koehler are gone. Pittman and Goeas. I would think Kansas is the team to beat. Tennessee is a hat to choose from at this point.

Don't use logic with the sunshine pumpers that think that every recruit is beating down our door to come play here.

Not sure what the status is of the Arkansas line but I'd imagine he could start from day one for Weis up at Kansas. That would be pretty appealing to me if I was in his position.

Word was that RK is what...too big, not fast enough? C'mon! Guess the same would have been said about Tiny. Ha! SMH. CBJ and staff just flat out dropped the ball here. When I look at who we've pursued /offered in the time since I just laugh at "too big" "not fast enough" "doesn't fit the system" Ridiculous to let this type talent slip through your fingers.

I think we have added some great talent on the OL in this class. I do think RK should have been a part of the class. It is what it is.
