13 MD WR Paul Harris (UT commit 7/17/12)

Am I the only one excited about Paul Harris? He is a 6'4" guy who runs a 4.45 40. This kid can fly,has great hands, and runs people over from what I have seen on his tape. Disclaimer... I am no expert but he seems to be a beast and if we do miss on a couple other receivers. I mean look at his film and tell me he doesn't remind you of hunter with better hands?

Paul Harris

This kid is a great pick up, I was glad to CBJ wanted to keep this recruit. I'm super excited for this guy, tall and fast. wanted to come to Tennessee the whole time and excited about it. I think he could play a good part in this next year getting a head start on the other recruits and with us losing our top 3 WRs. This kid will be mean two years from now. Harris, hopefully north comes and Gibson can qualify he looks like a good recruit too. We could be stacked again. And I haven't even mentioned Croom or Dallas' freaking love it. Just need some LBs and RBS

Oh and I'm super bummed about camion Patrick, dude looks like a monster, hopefully he still likes us 2 years.

I just looked at his rivals info again, and similar receivers are North and Gibson. That's crazy hahaha, definitely all coming to UT

You are not the only one. One of my favorite ’cruits at WR. In fact, one of the few WRs I liked this year. Goes to show just how much pull WRU has--Harris could end up being our 3rd-best take this class.

And don’t get me started on system fit. Born to play this kind of offense.

No doubt at all. He just is just a playmaker. and he can kick so that might solve our Palardy problem haha

besides the height and weight they are completely different. hunter much more of an athlete than harris. junior olympian in high school. almost decided to pursue track instead of football. if hunter gets the dropsies figured out he will be a star in the league for years to come. think aj green.

Nothing wrong with occasion black jersey. Especially considering it is part of our history. I figured you purist and and traditionalist and (old people) would appreciate that fact.

The "grey hairs" who have a problem with them aren't well-versed in UT history. I mean sheesh y'all I'm 22 and I still know that from around 1900 to roughly the end of WW1 in 1918, maybe as late as 1920, our team had black jerseys.

I really don't care what the color on the jersey is. I understand Orange and White are our colors. If the kids want to change it up a bit, let them have some say in what the jersey looks like. After all, they are the ones wearing them. I would never want to see a jersey w/out Orange and White in it somewhere though. They want some black in it a few games out of the year? Go for it. You won't hear me complain about it. They want Orange, White, and Pink? As long as they beat UF by 1 point I don't care. :hi:

One day after Kiffin brought out the black jerseys Hubbs and Hyams were on the radio discussing it. Talking about tradition and how it went against it. I called in and mentioned this. Told them to look in Tom Mattingly's Football Vault and explain why it was so much against tradition when black jerseys were clearly part of tradition. They stumbled and mumbled around my question. Then after my call they went right back to talking about it being against tradition. You would think the older dudes crying about tradition would understand that it played a part in our tradition.

I think the big underlying fear people like that have is that it would become a more permanent fixture. It wouldn't. We would still be Orange & White. The jerseys would just be an occasional thing, probably an extremely rare thing. Just being honest though, the players love that sort of thing and will play harder knowing they can have those jerseys. It would be exciting for them, which seems to me to be the most important thing since they're the ones wearing the pads, not me. JMO

Yeah, I don't see what the big deal is. We are and always will be the big orange but wearing special uni's a few times a year would be exciting for the players and even some of the fans that aren't so afraid of change. Times change. Let's have fun with UT football again.

But the five newcomers who signed and enrolled early have drawn very positive early reviews for their physical attributes, and the group represents five players at position of need where each could conceivably challenge to get on the field quickly in 2013. Paul Harris looked particularly impressive.
