I'm not chalking anything up to kids not looking at UT because we dismissed Cam Clear. They may use that as a scapegoat, but that's stupid. Bottom line, if they decide not to look at us because their boy got caught stealing laptops.. don't want them anyways. We have to recruit high caliber players, but those players need to be of high character. That seems to be missing in a lot of kids these days. SMH..

All the Memphis kids were tight. I'm sure Cam's telling them he was treated unfairly and schools are negative recruiting.

I think you guys are thinking about it the wrong way. You are mostly saying he is looking elsewhere because we dismissed Clear. It is probably more along the lines of he wanted to come here because his friend Cam Clear came here. Now that he is gone, Carr wants to look elsewhere to make sure that UT is right for him.

As much as I would like to believe it has nothing to do with it, and that Cam wouldn't trash the program. I can honestly believe this.

If that's true, he needs his ass kicked. The fact he is klepto I'm sure had nothing to do with it. :banghead2:

Anyone who gets caught, disciplined, then caught again isn't exactly someone you want around. i don't know, but I'd guess he thinks he was treated unfairly. Unfortunately, I've dealt with thieves in my life and they all act the same. Like what they've done wasn't really a big deal.

Man I hope we can hold on the this guy. He's the best player in the state IMO (or at least right there with Ramsey and Bell) and at a position of huge need. Has a great chance for early playing time if he can learn the play book.

I see it at work all the time, don't know why it wouldn't be true here as well. Hope it's not, but it does happen like it or not.

Get tired of this certain % committed stuff! Either be committed or de-commit, and say that particular school is still being strongly considered, but you are just making sure what is the right fit for you. If you told your spouse that you are only 65-70% committed to them, what would he/she say?

Too bad these kids aren't married. L.McNeil made a statement somewhat like this. Who cares...........All we have to do is win or hire a big name.

Good point. I know that if we win, then everything will fall in place regarding this recruiting class. I guess it just struck a nerve hearing this, and I really thought that Carr was really solid to us. :hi:

happens..UF has 2 guys "committed" that same the same stuff on the interweb.
