'13 TN DE Jason Carr (UT signee)

"We have tried to reach him since he left town yesterday and he hasn't answered or returned calls. I don't think that means anything terrible for Tennessee, but obviously we are trying to talk to him."

Maybe hom and Morris decided that they both would not talk to the media until they announce they are vols on NSD.

Whats that noise that he apparently was asked who would win the bcs title this year during the game and he replied "it doesn't matter, the Vols will be there next year." I agree the kids been quiet during this process, but he's stayed with us. So until we hear otherwise, stop with the freaking out. I'm sure he'd have a blast during that championship celebration. I think he's a smart kid and would like to build a program rather than ride the coattails of Bammers.

Take it how you want, but something tells me this kid won't be a vol come signing day if Alabama has room. Him not talking after his visit this weekend and reaffirming his commitment doesn't sound good for us. He has reportedly been a soft commit since this summer. Need Lawson and Bellamy in a bad way.

Probably trying decide whether to give a full commitment or keep going. Pressure and stress kills kids at this age.

Were he and Morris the two that OCI said saw what they needed to see and were probably coming here or was that North and Morris?

Interesting that both are now on media hiatus.

Well it's out of our hands...like everything else...our coaches reportedly showed the love in a major way last weekend...if Carr gets swept up in the championship orgy and wants to play special teams in Tuscaloosa ala Dalton Santos in Austin...what was not done?

Visiting the NC and arguably greatest head coach recruiter of the modern era on the weekend they will celebrate the NC. Nahhh, why question whether UT could lose this recruit. Its not as if UT has a tradition of losing top recruits out of Memphis to Bama.
Stick ur head in the sand and chant,"All Vol."

In fairness, Santos played quite a bit of LB last year. Carr is good enough to play anywhere, including Bama.

Your example was Santos, who played as a freshman. Which is why I thought you were insinuating that. But I see now that that was a response.

yep, but did you see him play? watched him get repeatedly trucked against Oklahoma, fail to get off of blocks...etc..etc....

Ya he definitely looked like a freshman. The response was to a post that said Carr would be like Santos of he went to Bama and would only play special teams.

McNeil and Santos had similar first years, I think. Both got to see the field a lot, but both looked like freshmen.

he played the time he did due to injuries and got rocked. He, like most Frost, was not ready to be a starting LB as a true Frost like most guys would not be ready. Hurt us when we had to do it. But, AJ is and will be a better player.

Was jones going to see him already scheduled or is this trip one that he is going on short notice?

I do not think he is a take at the moment. Atleast from what the sites are reporting.
