'13 TN DE Jason Carr (UT signee)

"I just wanted to come back and spend time with the guys," Carr said. "I wanted to see some knew faces and continue to get to know everyone better. I had great time. I got to visit with the coaches some and I have a good relationship with them. It was really more about hanging out with all my new teammates."

"I mostly hung out with the defensive line," Carr said. "Marlon Walls was my host on my official visit so we hung out together and with the other d-line guys. I hung out with guys like Greg King who is from Memphis and some of the freshmen already there like Corey Vereen and Jaylen Reeves-Maybin. A lot of team all hang out together regardless of position or what class they are in."

Carr said every time he is around the returning players he sees them becoming more and more comfortable with the new staff.

"Yea, they all have gotten to talk to the coaches more and more and they all really love this staff," Carr said. "I had a player tell me this weekend that he has had more conversations with coach Jones since he came back for the semester than he had with coach Dooley his entire career. All of us really like the whole coaching staff."

Carr is up there with Sanders and Maybin as being my favorite now.

Nobody will beat Chongo, though, if they can reel that guy in.

WOW!

Dooley liked to pretend he was Satan I mean Saban.

I just realized that Rivals has Carr ranked 6th in the state. Considering he is a 4* I expected higher. Maybe this high school football thing is getting better here in TN.

Siap.

he said he was able to “hang out with the guys, hang out with my brother and see some of the coaches,” and also “just hang out with vonn bell,” a five-star safety from ridgeland high school in rossville, ga., who took his official visit to tennessee this weekend.
“vonn, we hung out a little bit, but it was a little brief,” carr said. “i mean, we hung out together later on at night. But mostly i was just hanging out with the football team — guys that are actually on it, like (fellow memphis natives) marlon walls and greg king and freshmen coming up like jalen reeves-maybin.”
carr said he also met with some of the vols’ coaches, who didn’t even feel the need to ask him whether he’s still firmly committed to tennessee with national signing day on feb. 6 now less than two weeks away.
“actually, i just sat down to talk to them for a little bit,” he said. “our relationship is already established. We have a good relationship, so it was basically just like going to another home.
“we really didn’t talk about (my commitment to tennessee) this time, just because i think they know how i feel. They know where i’m at. I don’t think they want to ask me, like, every time they see me, so we really didn’t talk about that. We just talked about regular football and just different things, but i’m pretty sure they’re trusting my word.”
