also Saban called him to try to get an in home visit and Jason told him thanks but no thanks.

This is my favorite recruit of the class. Jason can do big things for this program.

Said he was given Greens number the day of his commitment and was like thanks coach for giving me some time to recruit. lol. He is a really good kid and I told him about all these nick names you all are giving him. He loved it!

Ever since Carr committed, he has been my favorite recruit. He just seems to have the size and athleticism to be a force of the edge or even slide inside if necessary and resembles some of the devastating LSU defensive linemen over the last decade. Winning and losing in college football, and particularly in the SEC, starts and ends in the trenches and Carr is going to win some battles. I sure hope that Lawson, Miller, Bellamy, etc., are there too and, if they are, Vols back to the top.

Thought I'd bump his highlights so people could see what kinda bad@ss we're getting if they haven't seen yet. I grew up and graduated high school with Justin Harrell. This kid reminds me a lot of him. Justin played TE and DE for us, but UT put some serious weight and strength on him and moved him inside. Wonder if we might see the same thing here?

I know a lot of people saying Carr is pretty raw. Do you think we will see him the dline rotation. I could see him jumping j williams and corey miller if he can come in and really compete.

He has such good size already. That, imo, is one thing that holds back DL prospects is getting the right conditioning or gaining/losing weight. He has a great chance to come and compete. It is hard to project any freshman to play from Game 1, but I think he breaks the 2 deep this summer (depending on who else we get on the DL).

Bell would be one guess. Chongo or Miller would be the other one, but am hoping more like Lawson or Trey Johnson.
