At this point we are all baffled that CBJ seemingly refuses to try something else. Maybe after watching our starting 5 get manhandled by UTC he'll be open to trying something new...but I wouldn't hold my breath on it.
Antone Davis says Austin is "Killin' It!" In practice!I remember reading about how they lifted in fall camp and Austin was one of the stronger kids there. It will be interesting what is said and done after they grade the film of yesterday's game. We'll probably never know but I wonder if some kids look better in practice than they can play in a game and vice versa. I believe I had read somewhere that UGA's Gurley hated practice and was not always 100% into it. We also don't know exactly what a coach is looking for out of a player. I certainly hope Austin moves up.
"It's all about keeping our focus on the process. We have to trust the process & know exactly what we're doing schematically & then you'll see the gradual improvement necessary for competing in these great environments.
These kids have an affinity for the University of Tennessee & take great pride in their craft. Trust the process."
I feel like that's pretty accurate.
CT and JR weren't 5* guys. I find it hard to believe "promises were made" to those two.
Something isn't right. After 6 games the same mistakes are being made and no improvement is in sight.
Explain to me why you don't give someone else a chance.
If this is the best we have then I would hate to witness practice.
A blind man on crutches could lock up with a defensive end better than our current tackles.
I thought someone from Rogersville would know enough to understand that it takes time for freshmen OL to gain strength and experience. Its like explaining why a freshman from Cherokee has not received a scholar ship offer from a D1 school.
