'13 TN OT Christian Morris

With all fairness players have no reason to be on a board like this. The only thing the real ballers worry about is their game. They don't care what people are saying about them. This kid just needs a life coach so he has someone he respects and listens to so when the life coach says shut up he does it. This just hurts Morris. Why start trouble. I'd laugh it off and go own.

I'm just saying... if you were a 18 year old kid and you put your name in a search engine and then clicked on the forums with your name in the title that have thousands of comments.... i wouldn't expect anything less.

Yeah, maybe you shouldn't open the forum but, honestly, it's like scrolling over a "Girls of...." thread and saying: "You know what, I think i'll pass."

In fairness, if the kid goes to a major college program, especially in the SEC, odds are at some point he will have much harsher things said about him. I would be concerned about any kid who reacted poorly in a public forum.

Just understand that a lot of these kids don't have the greatest home life. They live in poorer neighborhoods and all they really know is to protect themselves and their interest at all cost.

I get that but doesn't mean you take what happens in these forms to heart. When someone makes fun of you and you get really mad it usually means they hit a soft spot. Sounds like this situation IMHO.

Keep in mind. He shut off the media and the tenn coaches before any of these post in question were made. One of the two parties cooled on the other before any of these claims took place.

Assuming the only posts that made him angry are the ones he has mentioned.

I don't think that what is said on here is or ought to be part of a recruit's decision, but by the same token, it's really unnecessary to say some of the things that are said on here and kind of sad that some (not saying you) feel the need to pass judgment on 18 year olds on an online site.

Someone saying a kid begged for an offer is far from inappropriate. Plus JMoore is a huge advocate of greeting Morris if I recall right. Now going on these kids social medias and bashing them is a whole different story and shouldn't be tolerated by anyone's standards.

I agree with you for the most part. I can't recall any negative post About this kid leading up to his visit or during his visit where this recruitment went wrong. He was being praised by the masses and from what I remember we all wanted him badly. IMO all this is sour grapes or a cover for him deciding Knoxville wasn't for him.

When you draw this much attention to your school you are either one heck of a coach or you are cheating. Everyone has their own opinion so you decide what you think.

It seems unusual to me, but this is what happens when a couple big name guys commit. Things just start to snowball. Look at USC's class earlier in the year. They were absolutely killing it. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 30 for 30 film on Ole Miss' recruiting in about 6-10 years.

Morris has the frame to have a good career. HS coaches in Memphis basically said he looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane. Best of luck to him whereever.

It's definitely what pissed him off. Hubbs said he had been in contact with the staff constantly and made it seem like he'd jump on an offer.

JMoore just worded it really badly..he obviously didnt know Morris was reading VN.

Congrats recruitnics. Way to run off another one. And you say the ff sux. You clowns are hilarious.

Ill hold my judgement for now but it's def odd to see that big a turn around so quickly...

I know a lot of 18 year old kids are immature, but it seems odd for a one to get into a sparring session on social media with fans. I'd be curious how this kid would react when his Oline coach in college chews his ass for missing an assignment or how he handles tough questions from the media. If he thinks message boards or media is tough now, wait until he actually starts playing. Advice...grow some thick skin or stay off message boards.

If a recruit is run off just because of what he reads on message boards, then in all honestly that recruit needs to grow a pair and man up instead of *****ing all the time.

Of course these kids read what is written about them. Their teenagers with self-esteem issues. Recruiting forums are a plague on the recruiting process when you have an extremely negative fanbase.

The comments on VN were overwhelmingly flattering and welcoming to Morris.
