'13 TX FS Kameron Miles

Doesn't make much sense to me. I've watched his film and he is a great player. All indications of a good athlete. Most recruiting services hold him in high regard. No idea why his offer list is so unimpressive though. A TX kid with no offers from Texas and/or Oklahoma. Not even Oklahoma State or Texas A&M. He has a few solid offers from schools across the country, but really no true football powers.

With that being said, I hope he chooses UT today. Seems like a very solid player.

Maybe he's just not interested in the schools close to home, and they know it and don't wanna waste their time. Some kids just wanna get away..

Doesn't mean the teams wouldn't still offer. And if that was the case, I would still hope for better offers coming from schools outside of his area.

Our curse has been lifted. We've done smote-ed the eyes of our foes, that they may not recognize the talent under their noses

If Miles is able to stay at Safety & be good/great then I really like the pick up, if he has to be moved to LB in the future then I'd rather pass. JMO.

Since it seems like Sunseri favors bigger defenders across the board, I would think that he's got a better shot at staying at safety in our system than some others. Just from watching his film, it looks like he's got the athleticism to be successful as a bigger safety.

I think you take Rivals 100 talent no matter what. Keep stockpiling that caliber talent and good things happen.

Don't forget how old these guys are. Some people their age have beards while other are still growing hair in places they previously didn't have hair. I wouldn't be upset if in two years he's a hybrid LB. there is a place for those guys much like the Jack hybrid DL.

I'm reminded of one of my favs, Montori Hughes. That guy was less than 250 as a senior. When he was at his best he was pushing 320

My only question is, could taking a commitment now from Miles have any sort of negative impact on landing Bell and/or Ramsey down the road? If no, then how can taking this kid be anything but a positive? He is a player, looks like a stud and he would even appease our stargazers. Win - Win IMO.

If he wasn't going to the camps he was invited to, and not making trips they wouldn't.

Why would he have to move to LB? 6'2 200 is a great safety, even if he puts on 15lbs he'd still be great at SS.

I don't think it would. Ramsey is a CB, and Bell would be the perfect compliment to Miles.

Exactly my point, I think Bell/Ramsey are 2 of our most important secondary, defensive and overall recruits this year. As long as it has no effect on getting them I don't see anything wrong with trying to add this kid!

This guy will stay at Safety imo. Mark Barron came out of high school at 6-2 202 and left Bama at 213. Tennessee's starting Safety last year was at 217. Sunseri likes these big defensive backs.

Ha you should reference my post about stockpiling top 100 talent. All I was saying is if this starts an influx of commits..... Ramsey, Bell, Gray, and all the secondary players we are in on.... And we end up with one defection, we'd be ok

The kid is announcing in front of thousands of people that he knows at his school...I could be wrong, but I'd think most people who announce to publicly stick to their commitment. Of course he could still leave whomever he commits to, but you have to at least believe that his commitment is more solid than someone who just calls the coaches and tells some Rivals guy about it.
