I would love to have this kid sign with Tennessee, but you cannot blame him for choosing Stanford if he decides to do so. Their program is flourishing at the present time and their academics are outstanding. With that said, obviously, UT is the better choice. :)

Hubbs, Fortenberry, InsideTennessee, GVX247, and Perroni have all said Tennessee has a good chance at getting a commitment tomorrow. You all are just looking to worry about something.

Based on his statements from the Rivals quote, I take away nothing but positives. Yeah, the odd comment about Stanford, but we're the only ones for whom he mentions specific coach names as well as players (granted from Aladamna) that he likes or hopes to imitate, respectively.

Worried? no. Concerned yes. Won't lose sleep over it I promise.

Whomever gets this kid shouldnt get to excited. Texas can throw a wrench in the program at a later point. If he gets the offer, the pressure to stay home would be very heavy.

Usually I get a pretty good read from the homie out in Dallas on the Texas boys but on this one
here's what I got in my inbox

wish I knew more Jay but I really don't... Nobody down here will touch him.
No offers from Texas, A&M, OU nor Okie St
Usually Okie State offers everyone in Texas with a pulse. I don't get it. Because he's a stud.

Well I hope they don't offer. Pair him up with McNeil.

Anybody have a time he'll announce? I know he's doing it at his spring game but that could be anywhere from 4-10

He's aggressive and that's something we've lacked since Majors era. Hate the concept of playing 10 yards off and reacting rather than initiating contact at LOS. This whole offseason he had taught these DBs how to pop the WR at line and recovery. If you combine blitzing and tight coverage it provides for a lot more turnovers. One thing I hated about Wilcox was his refusal to mix it up because he played scared.

Eric Gordon approves this message^
