'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

You don't post often, but i remember you being connected up there, especially with ND recruits.. is the consensus saying Green to Michigan?

Yes. Word is Hoke is feeling real good about Green. Some assisstants have basically said he knows its over, which coming from Hoke says a lot. He just does not want to ruin the kids day in the spotlight.

how this translates, your guess is as good as mine but hoke has always ran a pro style at the other schools he's been at where he had his players. his last year at san diego state he had a qb with 3800 yards and a rb with 1500 yards, granted they're not superstars but they're both in the nfl now. plus these stats are in the MWC so again, how that translates, IDK

Bless your heart.

And according to Hubbs the UT staff also feels confident. Clearly Green has told both staffs he's going to sign with them at some point recently.

50/50.

Green stated Michigan was the leader at the AA game. After the game he said he knew where he was going. Hard to give us much of a chance in this one IMO. Maybe he was just doing the smokescreen thing, I doubt it. JMO

I wouldn't say he 100% is going to UM, but If I was a betting man, Id bet a lot on it happening.

Just think many are setting themselves up for disappointment in this thread.

Lincoln Memorial trying to make a late push, they are talking about starting a football team just so Green can commit

The recruiting experts who have followed and spoken to Green think Michigan will be the choice, as Green has consistently cited U-M as the leader.

Why?

“Derrick’s relationship with coaching staff and his relationship with some of the other incoming recruits, in particular David Dawson as the two became very close,” Rivals.com Mid-Atlantic recruiting analyst Adam Friedman said today. “It’s a small circle for him, his mother and his stepdad. I’ve had multiple conversations with Derrick and his family members and what I’ve gathered is they obviously want something that’s going to be stable. Out of the three schools, U-M has shown be the most stable.”

after reading this, i'm not betting on Green but one can hope..
