'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

You're in here arguing about MI facilities vs Ut's in the green thread telling vol fans to GTFO. You are in a vol forum on a vol site. You are trolling IMO. Your post are pi$$ing people off and it's obvious. When i say you i am also speaking of your MI buddy too.

Interesting he just happend to move to TN and found this board the day before Green's announcement. Screams of troll. Had Green chose Tennessee, I doubt we would have ever seen him post again.

kinda making me look bad by association, i can make myself look like an idiot without help from anyone else

i've been the lone vol who has somewhat stood up for michigan and the big 10 on this thread. Unlike most on here i'm trying to look at from from a recruits perspective or the parent of a recruit, not a fan's perspective. A fan...a blind ut fan in particular is obviously gonna look at the lure of playing in the sec. Even though a recruit might look at it as an opportunity to get his brains beat out considering ut has done zero the past few years to contribute to the sec's recent dominance. Is the sec dominant? Without a doubt, but not due to ut(atleast recently). Is the big 10 big time football? You damn right it is. It's not on par with the sec...look at results overall. The big 10 has 4 teams that are top 10 all time. Each team with as much history and tradition as ut. Ut fans throw up ohio st and michigan vs ut, but they don't seem to wanna discuss ut's results against penn st and nebraska as of late. They wanna act like you can't get to the nfl from the big 10. Which couldn't be further from the truth. From a recruits perspective, i could easily see the lure of playing at an upper echelon big 10 school.

Again, is the sec dominant? Without a doubt and it's not even close. But until we become relevant again, we need to quit yelling sec. Because in theory were not the sec, we're tennessee. So quit riding the coat tales of what uf, bama, and lsu has done as of late, and win some damn football games.

On the flip side. Your argument is weak and one of the most pathetic i've seen in some time. So you are gonna discuss the bad areas of knoxville to justify um having better facilities. Ever metropolitan area has ghettos. Don't sit here and act like michigan doesn't have ghettos. Michigan put the g in ghetto. Don't forget it. I for one take a great deal of pride in knoxville and don't appreciate you downing my city. Most major metro areas of michigan are bonafide sh!tholes. So your point you attempted to make is laughable at best.

I have a ton of respect for um. Don't like them, but respect them. Most of our fans beat their chests demanding respect while giving none. I view um and ut as being on par with each other. Both top ten all time, great facilities, multiple ncs, etc. I could easily see why a recruit would be drawn to um, and yes...he could easily go pro. But if you wanna down my city....i will never respect you.

agreed 110 percent1

if more people on here were like you i WOULD leave. however I've found that most people on here are open to a two sided discussion. i have not spoke ONE bad word about the university of Tennessee and never will on this board. i sit and read all the comments that are spewed from low class people like you and take it with a grain of salt because you sir are indeed in the minority. GO VOLS!

I've enjoyed your posts and hope you hang around. We've got rival fans who actually mix it up and bring good stuff here. You're in that category to me.

As for guilty by association...don't feel bad. 95% of our fanbase is awesome. But there's that 5% that acts like West Virginia fans and do their best to scream and cry as loud as they can. And I actually like WVU as a program. But they have the biggest d-bag fans on earth. Pay attention and you'll see who's good and bad on here.

+1 I agree, being born and raised in Detroit I know what ghetto is lol
I like Knoxville, the area has kept a roof over my head since the early 80's(probably older than most posters here) I was working on UT campus when they fired Johnny, Woodson over Manning for the Heisman, I always keep up with UT football, and watch about all of there games
I respect UT, you guys did best us when we played, but it was a great game, something I wish we would see more of instead of OCC cream puffs to pad stats

I don't think your boy Southern Wolverine did much to help. I for one don't like someone from Michigan calling Knoxville ghetto.

i'm sorry if i offended anyone on this board....... (except lebanonvolunteer) :) in the future i will try to comment only on post's that don't include michigan bashing. i guess i'm a little too thin skinned. GO VOLS!

unfortunately you're just going to have to take your lumps every once in a while and know which arguements are worth fighting and which ones to just let go. most posters here can and do engage in good debate, even the ones that start out busting your balls just because you're an "outsider". you'll learn and figure out which ones aren't worth taking the time to even acknowledge

i agree totally. i generally try to avoid threads about UT football because honestly i don't have the knowledge sometimes to really add anything. in the case of with derrick green, i tried to provide info from the other side of the fence. like i said above, sometimes you just have to realize which percent you're dealing with and just ignore them. this is a great site with a lot of great people but as an outsider you do have to be able to back up your posts with something concrete unless it's obvious it's opinion but even then to be taken seriously you have to earn it.

Everybody has thin skin on here (including me), especially when the other person does not agree with them or me. Usually attacking the other person is the first action we all take.

Also keep in mind that a top recruit just chose Michigan over UT. People are naturally going to be touchy on here. Alas, I don't think it was that big of an upset, TBH. The vibes were that Green was going to choose Michigan over UT for almost a month. I strongly believe this was a case of Green not having time to build a worthwhile relationship with the new coaching staff. The only person he knew was CJG. That's not going to be enough for a recruit that values relationships with coaches as much as Green.

Don't get to bent outta shape my man. It's not worth it. Been playing Black Ops lately? I'm getting pretty dominant.

Not in couple of days. Had customers in all weekend. Just left a couple hours ago. You might be interested in the fact they are from your 2nd home state of WVa. I wish you were xbox so could play.

As to the MI trolls.....the way I see it trolls gonna troll. MI not gonna do nothing with Meyer dominating them every year. I Green opted for the weaker conference but not every kids up for the challenge of the SEC. We need players that are so maybe it worked out for the best. He seems like s good kid. I wish he hadn't strung along our coaches so we could have focused on other backs that are up to the challenge. At least he didn't string this out till signing day. I don't usually feel this way when a recruit picks another school but for some reason in this case I think he'll regret his decision. Not sure why but it feels that way to me.

This. Urban Meyer will dominate that conference on a whole 'nother level.

Good luck to Green @ Michigan. To be honest, when I saw how he spelled 'declaration' yesterday it made it easier to lose him.......deceleration-lol

Let the Michigan goobers have their fun over Green. He'll leave in 4 years with 0 wins against tOSU and 0 bcs bowl wins, you can take that to the bank.
