'14 DC CB D'Andre Payne (UT commit 4/3/13)

Really glad he and Moseley are set to be EE's. Wish all of our commits were.

EE = big advantage. Huge in getting a jump on development and learning the playbook / system. Not to mention the benefit of (mid-year vs. Summer) acclimation to being away from home and college life.

Im not even sure Coleman can flourish at nickle.

He is more of a stop gap. Hes not the worst we've ever had but he just dosnt have that dog in him

Did you watch him on that screen play that went for a TD? He didn't even look to make a play. Just crashed into the block. Meanwhile a freshman looked to blow Cooper up.

I agree the way Sutton blew up that play was beautiful.

Isn't part of the problem on the Coleman/Toney play that
Toney is too far off the line of scrimmage and then his bad
angle ? Though I would like better effort from Coleman.

To be fair, though, we aren't talking about Coleman much on that play if Toney doesn't take one of the worst angles I've ever seen from a safety.

Agree with your point, though. If Payne (or Gaulden) comes in ready to play, Coleman isn't going to stand in his way.

Coleman has been below average to bad all season. I wish I would've said so earlier so my ecred would be higher.

But in all seriousness, people kept saying "don't worry about Coleman" but he's really struggled.

Potential 2 Deep Depth Chart:
CB-Payne/Gaulden
NB-*Coleman/Gaulden
S-McNeil/Kelly
S-Randolph/McDowell
CB-Sutton/Jones
*Coleman's better than Toney or Swafford

That play did it for me with Coleman. He had zero intention of making a tackle, just wanted to eat up a block and hope someone else got to the runner.

Then Cam on the other side could not be blocked when the same play was run to his side.

McNeil has been disappointing to me. Anyone else feel differently?

The secondary so far has been disappointing overall other than Sutton.

Watch the Aaron Murray long run when the two DBs ran into each other.

It's a personnel issue. The play will be improved next year with the players we have coming in. More big plays, big hits, and personal fouls, I hope! :)

The DBs need that nasty and in your face attitude. They will allow for more one on one coverage and more blitzing.
