'14 FL WR Isaiah McKenzie

Did you watch his highlights? Competition was weak. Small defenders missing tackles all over the place. Tackles that would easily have been made against better opposition. Pass.

How about how he was one only the fastest, and most talked about players at an ALL AMERICAN game?

Exactly. The dude looked FAST and a home run threat at returner against the best high school players in the nation. I would be happy to have him.

He's supposed to do that against weak competition. Kelly, (dare I say it) Dews, Mosley all play weak competition. Guess we should pass on them too. Clearly you didn't watch him play today either

Crappy competition. He's not legit. Plus we don't need any more receivers. Butch really should have gotten a QB in this class since it appears we don't have one who's worth a damn. And don't start yelling "Riley Ferguson!". Dude hasn't played a down.

Then how can you say we don't have a QB if one them "hasn't played a down"?

To be honest, no I haven't watched his film. His name just popped up on our coaches board a couple days ago.

Like I said before, he did very well tonight against the best of the best. He was a huge spark in the return game, did some good things running the ball, and had some really good catches.

We have a 6'4 North, 6'3 Pearson, 6'5 Croom, and 6'3 Malone. We have height on the outside.

Contrary to popular belief, every team needs a dynamic WR like McKenzie. They are a matchup nightmare when used correctly.

Ok Mr. Literal. Ill clarify: we don't have any good QBs.

Still: how can you say we don't have any good ones when one hasn't played a down?

Hell, how can you make an argument on the one being a true freshman thrown into the fire against two teams with a combined record of 23-3?

If we had a good QB he would have appeared as such. Instead all we got was garbage.

Has nothing to do with being literal. Your logic still has the same hole. Riley has yet to play a down, therefore, it is not definite that we don't have any good QBs like you are claiming. Coaches know what we have and don't have.

Are you on drugs, or just 12?

You realize McKenzie just stood out on a field full of the best high school players in America?

Which of our QBs do you think is good? I'm curious.

That's your problem. You're speaking in definites. We will see during the spring. These kids will have one more year in an entirely different system. Butch and co are selling Riley for a reason. I can't say he's good because I haven't seen him play. Butch has seen him in practice and discussed football with him in meetings.

I think a lot of you guys would get excited about any prospect who showed interest in UT. I'm a bit picky. I don't want another Devrin Young, Pig Howard, David Oku, or whoever the next "get him in space" guy is. Plus we need to bulk up on defense anyway. He would be a wasted pick.

Guy says our offense sucks but picking a guy that can make plays is a "wasted pick."

Lol

This is what we've been saying every year now--just wait til next year! There's a superstar saviour ready to be unleashed on the competition! Ill tell ya, Johnny Manziel can play in any system. So can Cam Newton, Winston, Bridgewater, Boyd, etc. Hell, I wish we had Maty Mauck! He played lights out as a freshman. If Riley had the "it" factor he would have started game one.
