I know Notre Dame is obviously a top notch academic school, but can they choose not to enforce their own academic standards with athletes since they are a private school?

The loopholes any school can use to get athletes in would amaze you. You can be a functional retard athlete and still get into college. When I see kids that can't get into college as an athlete, it makes me wonder how bad their transcripts really are

I'd be embarrassed to be a recruit with bad grades and be talked about on all of these forums. That should be enough motivation to study right there. It's amazing how many of these kids are struggling in high school. I passed with a b average and never did homework. What do these kids do?

Some people are born stupid and raised by stupid parents. How have you not figured this out yet?

No kidding. My fellow science teacher sent out these questionnaires at the beginning of the school year for parents to fill out. One question asked "where do you see your kid in ten years?" I kid you not, about five or six parents said "in the NBA/NFL". We both teach in a middle school in a city.

Education just isn't a priority for some people.

Yeah , I used to coach youth football. Many parents do not enjoy seeing their kids play in the moment. They are focused on an unrealistic future in high school or college. It is truly crazy.

Basketball parents are the best. We are tryin to convince a 6'3 PF and 5'7 PG to come out for the football team. Each of them has a relative convinced their child is destined for the NBA. And he will just get hurt and end his career playing football.

Good luck with that. There are only around 360 roster spots in the NBA. 12 guys on a team with 30 teams is 360. You want to tell me the chances a kid is going to make the NBA?

There's a lot more scholarships available for d1 football also.

Josh Reed was a stud. Played for the Bills iirc. Idk about best in SEC history, but he was a great receiver at LSU

Lol I know who he is I was just giveing the dude a hard time. He replaced peerless when he went to ATL I believe. I don't think he had that good of a nfl career? I could be wrong though

Oh my bad lol. Na, didn't last long. Was the same draft class as Korren Robinson I believe (another bust).

Ya'll can bust my chops all you want but there's a noticeable lack of a rebuttal. Go look at the numbers and get back to me.
