Insight on this kid would be great because I'm unfamiliar with him---I'm assuming he'd be a perfect fit in Butch's system. I like those guys that that could play slot and possibly flip and play DB---

How can people really freak out about a guy like this? We have 31 scholarships to fill this year and that's a tough number to get to this guy looks like he can play so what is the deal?

Oh no he's an 86 on 247, well Vic is rated an 82 and no one talks crap about him. Embrace this kid he is our newest VFL.

Considering Butch and co haven't given any reason to question their recruiting acumen yet, the benefit of the doubt must be given. Boom for the new recruit fellas. Got a feeling this is the appetizer for a buffet of good news this week/weekend.

On Lee....

I'm getting ready to post the story but a couple of quick things. One, he was at Alabama earlier this week and they wanted him to come back in June to camp. Auburn called this week trying to get him to visit unofficially. Missouri has offered as well.

He doesn't play at a powerhouse program in that panhandle but don't be surprised at all if the interest level with him from schools doesn't grow a lot.

The 4.71-40 time that is on his profile page is according to Lee from a Nike combine he attended between his freshman and sophomore year. Lee says he's a 4.5-40 right now.

Azzanni was recruiting this guy at Wisconsin...apparently he's been a target for a while.

He was awarded 5A all district team in Florida, that was an honor only given to 13 Offensive players. If he was clocked at a 4.7 40 he has probably not been trained how to run a 40 yard dash or it was an error on the input data. He has plenty of speed on the field with pads. Some guys clock in at a fast 40 time but to me it is how fast you can play with pads that is important. His Sophomore stats, Junior stats, and Highlight film are impressive. I am curious about the drop in ratings over the last 9 months but I trust in Butch!

Nobody saw this coming when the coaches mentioned the lack of playmakers. I think we will see 5 wideouts if not more.

looked at the schedule his team played last year, and they dominated 3 of the 4 schools in my city. these schools are actually pretty good. they did lose to Godby though which is usually a powerhouse

I'm no expert but after watching the kids highlights I like his elusiveness and the ability to make guys miss---plus the versatility (split out wide, at RB, etc). I'm thinking a Pead-type player in Butch's offense. You never know how things will shake out down the road but I can see why the coaching staff offered this kid.

"Coach Jones said I made his weekend today when I told him I was a Vol," Lee said. "He was very excited and I'm excited. They are putting together a really good class."

"I actually have always been a fan of Tennessee," Lee said. "Tennessee is a top 25 business school and that's what I want to major in. They have great facilities and a great atmosphere. The players welcomed me with open arms and I felt at home up there."

"I sat down with coach Jake and watched some tape with him," Lee offered. "The way we play offense in high school is similar to the type of offense that he runs. I think I fit their offense well and they felt the same way."

The 5-11 167 pound Lee said he recently ran a 4.5-40. Lee doesn't plan on making any more unofficial visits this spring and his only planned camps are team camps with his West Florida Tech High School team.
