"Autry was awesome his junior year, sort like an x-factor WR/RB type, like a poor man's De'Anthony Thomas. Then he tore his ACL, played through the injury in the game he hurt it and played the following week in the state championship game. While he scored some major toughness points, he really messed up his career. He came back for the first game of his senior season and wasn't ready, played terrible and missed more time while trying to rehab the knee. By the time he became relatively healthy by the end of the year, no major school was willing to take him outside of Georgia Tech. He did show signs of being his old self much later in the season and generally for a guy like him it takes two years to be back to full speed after that type of injury.
He was already having problems with grades and didn't enroll in time and when his brother got the boot by the Jackets he wanted out as well. Not sure what his options are but I doubt they will be very favorable."

Most likely Juco route and we will see his thread pop up in two years
Definitely kamara is a better running back but Autry was an electric athlete. Also saw him post injury and he didn't look half as good felt bad for him.
That's at the HS level. I was never in love with his slight frame. He was a Slot man/return man at best on a collegiate level.
This. He was too small before imo. Tearing his acl took a step, you can't be small in major D1 unless you have ridiculous speed and/or quickness and he just doesn't have that post ACL tear. again, imo.
also, whoever let him keep playing through that injury should be fired, because he put the kid's future at risk. High school football is great and all, but it should always be about the kids' futures. getting as many into college as possible.
I will add one more thing...I don't think his head coach, the rest of the coaching staff, and especially his family and those who are close to him would have let him play on it, if it would have caused more damage. They knew he was a D1 prospect, and wouldn't have jeopardized his future.
You trust that staff quite a bit to have no ties to it. There are a lot of coaches that are out for rings.....
This might be very true. As I said, BB, it is just my opinion with no real info to add to it. Maybe MzT will add a perspective that is first hand info, if she chooses. I do know that she loves Coach Maloof, and I know her enough to say, that she wouldn't love a coach who risked further injury to his players by allowing them to continue playing with a serious injury that could cause more damage. Once again, JMHO.
