Truitt has game changing speed, and is a talented athlete, but he waited too long to accept his invitation to the party. Powell is a good replacement, and a fine athlete. Might not exactly have that breakaway speed of Truitt, but Powell can move quick in space and possesses some speed of his own. And most important, he wanted to be a Vol right here and right now.

Evan Berry is faster than Truitt.everyone acts like truitt is the second coming of deion sanders on here bc he's fast. In reality he is a great athlete but there are recruits out there that we are in in who are just as fast or faster.

I'm not even phased about missing out on him. He's talented sure, but he's not a make or break player for this class.

Count me as one who would love to have Truitt.

Dozens of people on Volnation drooled over this kid when it looked like he was coming here. Now, the mood on Volnation seems to be "Anh, so what?" CBJ would not have sent him 100 letters in one day if they did not think he was special. He hasn't suddenly become un-special. Has he? Saying he is not special is tantamount to saying CBJ erred in his evaluation of Truitt.

I can understand those who think we tried and Truitt would not commit, so we moved on. I can't understand those who think he's just another guy.

Just my 2 cents.

It's called looking on the bright side, and not obsessing over one recruit.. Especially when it's one that has game similar to a lot of other prospects we are in on..

I don't think any bridges should be burned. It's a long time until NSD. Things could change and we might be recruiting him hard again. It's amazing how quickly all of those 29+ spots are drying up though. To think we're having to turn very talented guys away. It's actually a nice problem to have compared to what we've had to endure for the last few years.

I'm no expert but kid's film showed some of the sickest jukes I've seen since Barry Sanders.
