'14 GA DB Wesley Green

I'm tellin yal right now... You can call me crazy but I'd hate to be South Carolina right now.. They're on the verge of falling back into their typical selves here soon. With everyone in the east bringing in top recruiting classes, SC is lagging behind and isn't bringing in the type of recruits to compete in the future... Couple this with the fact that recruits know when they get there, within their 4 years they are almost guaranteed a head coaching change within that time. Spurrier is getting lazy on the recruiting trail and the writing is on the wall for his retirement.

Georgia's a different subject, but I feel they're in the same position we were before we fired Fulmer.. I like where UT is headed in terms of gettin back to an SEC championship.

Not crazy, very true! It took a perfect alignment of the stars to get them where they are, and it's about over.

Correct. Without UT's fall that began around 2002 but in earnest around 2005, USCe never gets above the mid pack in the SEC with or without Spurrier.

It doesn't hurt that his west rival game is Arkansas while UT and UF have much tougher programs.

I personally think they've got more trouble ahead of them in the SEC this year. Their depth is no better and possibly worst than UT's. They are definitely vulnerable in the back 7 on D.

FWIW, Niebuhr just predicted him to UGA.

That is where the usce folks think he ends up as well. Apparently they just started to really push for the kid and uga is where he wanted to play anyways. Almost as if uga was slow playing him and over the past weekend decided to make him more of a priority.

All the USC fans are pretty sore---apparently they lost a DL recruit too. I can't remember the kids name but maybe we can get in on him too.

Also slightly similar to ole miss in the early/mid 2000's. They had a lot go right with Cutt and Eli while others like bama were down and they got so excited. Most knew it wouldn't last but some actually thought bamer would never make it back and ole miss had arrived. Like that idiot Cowherd on ESPN, who said bama would never be good again. However most know the traditional powers always return and the lower teams who happen to be having success at the time need a perfect storm to get there and can't sustain it.

Please tell me you already had this typed before you watched last week's game? UT and FLA? Fla is going the opposite way.

Anywhoville, apart from Key and Green, apparently Sawyer is now 'unlikely' to go there. Sawyer is now down to his fifth choice or so, he would fit well in a 4-3.

Florida has a top 3 defense in CFB. All they need is a QB. They were 11-2 last year. Doesn't matter how ugly it was. They win games. But hey, if they do end up falling off I'll be fine with that as well. :)

Tennessee is very much in it

I'm hearing Auburn on this one

SC sites are saying they are very much in it and they expect him to recommit down the road. Green has contacted the staff and things seem to be smoothed out

If we bring this kid in, who gets left out?

Not doubting his ability, but it seems like our 2014 class is pretty full at the DB positions. Gaulden, Payne, Moseley, Kelly, McDowell, and probably at least one of the Berrys.

If we get who we think we'll get (the Berry bros, Barnett, Mosley, Hendrix), that leaves us 2-3 spots for everybody else - Blair, Malone, Garrett, Adoree (though I don't think we have much of a chance with him), maybe McClendon or Jakob Johnson. Would you take Green over any of those guys, given the strong DB class we already have committed?
