'14 GA OL Orlando Brown (Signed with Oklahoma)

He looks like he's lost a lot of weight. Here's a photo I took of him the other night. Despite the weight loss his play still leaves a lot to be desired so I think he'll still be a project type guy whose best chance at contributing will be during the second half of his college career.

"He has lost some weight. He will need to lose more when he comes to college and will have to work on his technique. He has gotten away with being successful because he's big. That's not how it works in the college game."

Call me crazy but I think our offensive line will be better next year. They have really underachieved so far this season. I think next years line will also have better run blockers

I see people say our OL are too big for Butch's system. If that were the case why did he recruit Orlando Brown?

I just don't think they have played up to their potential. I didn't say they have played poorly. They haven't played like one of the best units in the country. That's JMO

About the same level. I just haven't seen the improvement I had hoped for. Like I said, we haven't played poorly. Just not great. It may be partly due to a new coach and new system. We have also played a couple of really good defenses

Not that it matters, but why is he ranked as low as he is again? Is it the bad weight he was carrying?

That was a big part of it. People felt his development slowed quite a bit because of the bad weight. I saw in a recent article where they think he is in a much better position now to do well, but his technique as an OT will still take some time.
