'14 GA OL Orlando Brown (Signed with Oklahoma)

Uhhh...if Juwan James can start and do well as a true freshman, I don't see any reason why Orlando wouldn't have a great shot to replace him at RT. Kid is already bigger than most upperclassmen.

JJ started because there was noone else on the roster at the time. Rarely would you want true freshmen to be a starter on o line.

I don't think he starts as a freshman but almost everybody (but not all) act like he's guaranteed to be a RT. With his weight loss and a 6'8" height, he's a prototypical LT. That kick slide at 6'8" is so valuable.

I don't think he is a left tackle at all. I just don't see the footwork.

His starting was based out pure need as A Douglas left the team when Dooley was hired

Haha oh man this is gonna be fun rooting for this beast.

looks like a Vol to me...
and the stands look empty...I think they all stayed home to make sure they weren't witnesses to a felony mugging of D-Lineman...

Yeah Baby Zeus, Weisman,Stewart,Sanders and a few more of our young-uns play with a little nastiness that has been missing for a while.

A year in strength and conditioning and this kid (man-child) will definitely be pushing for playing time. If he was an EE I really wouldn't put it past him cracking the 2 deep next year. If he was really pushing 400 and is down to a rather slim 340, then I think we have a great one on our hands from an attitude standpoint. That takes a good bit of hard work. Extremely excited about this next class and the future of UT football!

I don't think he is a left tackle at all. I just don't see the footwork.

Everything I've read about him say that's his best asset. I wouldn't know good footwork if it kicked me in the face, but you're going against almost all the evaluators out there.

I'm right there with ya jave...but I've read that his footwork is excellent as well. His question mark is and has been whether he can keep his weight and conditioning in line.

Footwork and foot speed are two different things.

Can he kick set that big body back fast enough would be the question. That's to be determined, but he has the length so that's a start.

Athletically he has the ability to have very good footwork, but he hasn't have good footwork in the 2 games he has played. He isn't getting out of his stance well in pass pro.

I just don't think he has the quickness at this point. You're right he has the athleticism but as we all know he needs to trim some weight to realize the potential he has. I don't ever see him as a LT though, even after he gets in shape. Not that that's a bad thing.
