'14 GA OL Orlando Brown (Signed with Oklahoma)

Bloodlines tell me this isn’t going to be a 280-lbs. guy, ever. Nor should he be. If he gets into that 310-320 range I can see him contributing in the rotation this year. Hope the work on agility shows quickly.

It’s kind of wishful thinking, but I hope he’s standing right behind Blair taking notes the entire time. Sure would be nice to know who the backup left tackle would be for a change.

Really doubt you see him in the rotation this coming yr.

If he's further along than many expect, he could take on a Wiesman-esque role in some special teams and whatnot.

But I agree, I'd imagine they try to redshirt him and get him a year in the strength and conditioning program before he plays.

I'd expect Coleman Thomas and maybe Raulerson to get the most PT of our true freshmen OL.

"Orlando Brown just checked in. Very solid to Tennessee. He has done a spectacular job of reshaping his body over the past couple years. He is now 338 and looks much leaner."

Is Orlando still 6'7"? Wondering if he's done growing height wise

I hope with a with a strict plan from the S&C staff he is 315 by the start of camp.

With his frame he doesn't need to carry any extra weight.

Wow, he looks great in the picture. Sounds like he has the "want-to." To be honest, i've forgotten about him for the last several months. Awesome to see some positive news out of his camp.

If this kid was able to lose so much weight I'm high school through training and discipline, imagine what he'll be able to do with a college strength and conditioning program.

We may see him at 6'7-6'8 315 of pure muscle after a year or two in the program.

Nee again stated today how much Orlando had completely changed his body. I expect him to jump up to a 92 on 247 and get his 4* on Rivals. That is his correct ranking. He is a talented athlete.

Tennessee*commitment*Orlando Brown*(Suwannee, Ga./Peachtree Ridge) has unreal size at 6-foot-8, 340-pounds. He didn’t win every rep but you can see the upside this left tackle has.

Orlando Brown*didn’t have a perfect day but he showed enough to impress. He’s a massive left tackle prospect that’s 6-foot-8, 340-pounds. This*Tennessee*Volunteer commitment from the Peach State is long and has good feet. He shows good balance and the ability to slide in pass protection. He’s far from complete but has a ton of upside. Brown needs to hit the weights and bulk up.

“Man, I just really liked that coaching staff,” Brown said. “Me and coach Jones clicked right away.“I love what they are doing with that program. Tennessee has always developed NFL guys and offensive linemen, I really look forward to being there.”

“Love it,” Brown said. “Every D1 program is searching and working for that national championship. Tennessee is no different. That’s where we are headed. The team, the coaches, the recruits and everyone involved with the program is working towards just that.”

I thought everyone was saying he needs to lose weight?
