Maybe catch the grades next time....before accepting commitment
What if the coaches had held out on taking Bryant's commitment until maybe January because of grade concerns? IMO there is a good chance he would not be a Vol today. With grades, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. At least with Brown they realized he was not getting in before he signed and then cost us a scholarship.[/QUOT
OL was critical this year.. that's all.

Blair, Thomas, Raulerson all coming in as EEs, and Robertson/Mosley as possible OL as well is a decent class IMO. Having (2) guys already in 2015 and Richmond as very likely looks good on paper. If you look at how the OL played this year, not more than 8-9 guys see much action anyway.

Brown was given a set of expectations in the classroom to fulfill in order to sign. He didn't fulfill them, so we told him "I told you so." Thus, he didn't sign.
Obviously we want him and still do, but we can't waste any schollies.
What has this staff got against minority O-linemen?
Sanders, Kendrick, Wiesman, Thomas, Raulerson. LOL
Brown, was far and above the most talented of this group.
Unfortunately, they could not afford the risk. A signed LOI counts against your numbers. Period.
