'14 GA OL Orlando Brown (Signed with Oklahoma)

The 6-foot-7, 360-pounder is an offensive lineman at Peachtree Ridge High School and claims 42 early scholarship offers, including UGA. He’s a 3-star who is still very raw and undeveloped but has a high ceiling of potential

360 WOW. Big ole boy.

•Tennessee: “It’s definitely somewhere that I feel like home. It’s somewhere that I could see myself in a few years.”
•Arkansas: “I like Coach (Bret) Bielema’s past. He’s known for running that rock. One of my old teammates (at Peachtree Ridge) that I like goes there, Ray Buchannan. He will be a sophomore there next year.”
•Oklahoma: “I like Coach (Bob) Stoops. He’s a great coach, and Oklahoma puts a lot of offensive tackles in the league.”

Sounds like a VOL to me

He can go to Tennessee for all I care....even knock his own front teeth and mirror most vol fans.....he can go to Arkansas and eat possums and squirrel all day...which is Arkansas natives daily popular meals.....he can go to Oklahoma and live in their desert like flat land and get blown away by a tornado for all I care

Bulldawg35, that is spot on. He ether needs to get on the Dawg train or get run over by it

Butthurt fans are hilarious! Especially when they come from other fan bases.

I didn't know Joe Staley was recruited by Butch at CMU. I hope Brown is taking notes of all these players that have been well coached and made it to the NFL. Also, I would be pumped to be under Lawson as well.

So of his final 3, Tennessee is the only 1 he has visted. He said for people not to read much into that. Anyone buying that at all? Seems the kid will be a VOL. OL help is a huge need and this is a huge kid(6'7 330+). Offer list is just crazy for a 3 star. Ya have to love how the 3* kid has twice the quality offers that the 5* #1 OT has.

Is his dad the one that got hit the eye with a Referee's flag? Played ball for the Browns? If not, who was that? I know I could just google it but I'd rather ask the The Wise Council of Vol Brethren

Tough to play that angle IMO. Brown weighs 100 pounds more than Fisher and while Fisher had 2 offers, Brown's list looks like a who's who contending for a national championship. Brown is not a diamond in the rough, the kid is a major recruit.

I think it could go the opposite way. CBJ could use Fisher as an example that himself and Mahoney can help an O-lineman progress through their tenure here to have a legit shot at playing at the next level.

Butch Jones name being mentioned 5 times in the first 10 minutes last night only helps UTs sales pitch to any O-lineman we may be interested in IMO.

Sorry we didn't get to this earlier, but I think the chances of him committing to the Vols next week are strong. He's never visited Arkansas or Oklahoma that I'm aware of and was here last weekend. Have to like Tennessee's chances.
