Reavis isn't totally out of the question, either, and then who knows who will pop up later. I personally wouldn't mind adding Smith and one JuCo CB.

Poster on VQ asked...Was Payne the guy that Volquest was really checking in on and the guy you thought might be doing something back a couple of weeks ago when Wharton and TK were saying that a commitment was about to pop that day (never materialized)? Or was it somebody else, another guy that you feel real good about where UT is right now?

It was someone else. I asked McDowell that day if he was going to commit and he said he was but wanted to take his other visits this spring. He visited Auburn last weekend and will be at FSU soon. He's planning to be back in Knoxville for the Orange & White game.

As much as I love seeing kids pick Tennessee, I feel a lot better about them sticking if they have taken their visits before they commit. Maybe McDowell can have his heart all Orange by the O&W game. Would be a great addition to the 2014 class.

Can anyone confirm his height? Rivals has him at 6'3 and 247 and ESPN has him at 6'1 and Scout has him at 6'2....................

McDowell for one is scheduled to be on The Hill for the Dish Network Orange and White Game on April 20, which will be free of charge for fans once again. Although he spoke highly of a recent trip to Auburn, InsideTennessee was told McDowell's visit that weekend could mean big news for the Vols.
